The early bird catches the worm and a storm..

         Still having great hot summer weather today. It started off  hot at 6 am and got hotter, by noon it was 31c (felt like 37 c with the humidity) that's s 88f and 99f.

       This morning the early bird got the worm and whole bunch more. This robin was doing quite well.

        Another great hot day and just kinda puttered around here. Coffee and computing, walkabouts, chat with people and enjoy the peace and quiet. After noon we  got our books out and enjoyed reading in the shade for a while. We do enjoy reading a real book outside and its been while.

        Around 3:30 we heard some thunder in the distance, but the sky was clear. Well by 4 o'clock the sky got real dark, the winds picked up and we had a storm. Wind and heavy rains for about 30 minutes. The temperature dropped from 85f (29c) to 60 f (15c) in that short 30 minute time frame.

        By 4:30 the rain stopped, skies cleared and the sun came out and got much warmer again. But our electricity was out. So we just fired up out Weber  and started some chicken wings, then fired up our genny to get the Fry Daddy going and we had a nice feast of Wings, Fries celery, carrots, broccoli and dips.

        With the temperatures dropping we could now open the windows and turn off the AC. Humidity gone and a nice comfortable 70f. Then outside to read a bit more and just relax inside, compute and a bit of tv.

        Boy its a rough life but I think we can handle it! Lots going on here this weekend.
