Warmer weather but no sunshine and fellow rv;ers arrived today for Happy hour.

Where are we today ?

Much milder overnight at 5 am was 42 F (5C) and no wind so was pretty decent outside. No sunshine though. Just everything is green and growing. As a matter of fact they cast the grass here in our area of the campground.
right on top of our engine battery
the robins want to build a nest
Enjoyed a nice walkabout almost 2 miles so far. Then home to putter around.  I hooked up our water hose and struggled with my quick connect fittings. Ok that's enough these have given me problems since I bought them last December. I can fix that, bought two more new ones at the Arkona Home Hardware, a different style and seem to work perfectly. I fixed the old ones, into a recycle bin is a good place for them. I also have been checking under the hood of our coach. We have noticed a Robin coming out of there and sure enough they were building a nest right on top of our engine battery. I have been cleaning twigs off there for the last couple of days and noticed again they made real good progress this morning. Don't want a nest there with eggs in it when we are moving in a couple of days, hopefully they will get the message and build it some other place. We have had this happen before at this time of year.
in no time the robins are building a nest here
need keep on top of this

a decent day here no complants

After a light tasty lunch I headed down the the fitness centre and enjoyed a nice workout for an hour. An amazing gym they have here, may as well make use of it. Still overcast , 56F  (13C) no wind and no rain, so not too bad of a day at all. Too chilly to sit outside and read so inside it will be.It did get to 60 F (15C) but still kinda chilly.
now back into another new adventure
with Lucas Davenport and his Prey series
really enjoy John Sandford's writing
A bit later 2 pm we noticed friends Paul and Judy Whistlecraft full timer rver's pull in 2 sites behind us, I walked by welcomed them back to Canada and were invited over for Happy Hour with them  at 3:30. So nice to see them  again, compared our winter travels for a while to get caught up and headed back home by 4:30. Tonight I am making some Lasagna that Suzie wanted today because it was supposed to rain, so far not happening, and that is just wonderful.
Suzie with Paul and Judy
Tonight  was a Lasagna I threw together. No lasagna  noodles, she suggested we we use Tortillas  instead like we did in Mexico back in 2009. No problem we can use these for different things more than the noodles. Same meal only better.  No recipe posted just fried up some ground turkey, onions, garlic and mushrooms, a few spices and layered all in a smaller pan. With cheddar, parmesan ,mozzarella ,  spaghetti sauce and baked in the oven at 350F for an hour. Added a small salad and a a couple of garlic cheese buns just because we like them, Not healthy eating but we are sure in for a tasty treat.
wow this was excellent and of course lotsa leftovers
We did really enjoy a very nice day and a bonus to get together with Paul and Judy for Happy hour. Nice to catch up with these guys again after our winter get aways.
We enjoyed our supper and of course will enjoyed lotsa leftovers at some point.
A pretty decent day here and now we can wind down, read for a while and maybe watch a show on the tube.
Wanna thank y'a for dropping on by and hope you had a great day as well.

Where are we today ?

Waking up to another cool morning 32F (0C) at 5 am. Got some computing done and coffees consumed watching a very nice sunrise  outside our dining room window. Because it is not going to be a great weather day we put a roast beef in our slow cooker and let it just go all day long on low. Making our house smell wonderful.
the sun is beginning to rise
getting better
here it is
As the sun came up I went for a nice walkabout before it got too windy, Got a mile in and back home again. Getting windier and colder, not much outside fun today that's for sure An East wind on our patio side with gusts to 30 MPH. Supposed to have some rain showers later and cloudy all day. Glad we got to soak up some sunshine yesterday.
then the color went away
by one of the cabins I noticed this mourning dove on a nest
too cool

Blog issues

I have been having issues with spam comments coming in for moderation, way too many emails, they never got posted but still annoying. So I thought I would go in my settings and clean them all up, I have stopped the emails. But the spam folder was getting pretty full. Pretty easy to do right? So I thought I would delete all the spam comments. Then I went back on my blog and was sure I had some comments from last night and early this morning. What the heck!!!! Here I had deleted the last 100 comments from the previous week. Oh no!!!! What have I done??? I treasure all my comments from our readers and reply to everyone of them. Try as I might I cannot get them back they are gone into cyber space.. Think maybe I need to just leave my settings alone from now on.
Oh well think maybe I will just stick to posting my blog and cooking I seem to have pretty good luck with that. We enjoyed a tasty lunch , more ham bean soup then I took a nice drive to Forest looking for a couple of things. Got what I wanted and back home again to relax inside enjoying our page turners. Smelling the roast cook and making us hungry. Rained most of the afternoon and the temperature really warmed up to 40F  (4C) though the weather network said 46F, not here thats' for sure. I did get out for a bit took a few wet pictures and back inside to warm up again
While reading this afternoon and our roast cooking away I decided this would be a good day to make some Broccoli Tots a recipe I got from Shirley last winter after a tasty treat for happy hour. For this recipe you can click HERE or my recipe blog top right sidebar.
making the tots
all chopped up , next time I will chop it more
ready for the oven
they smell wonderful and very tasty
For our roast beef tonight we like to make some Yorkshire Pudding and this mix works wonderful quick and easy, Only on Canada we have found it, though too bad, we stock up for the winter with these mixes.
our roast beef cooking nicely in our slow cooker
Yorkshire pudding is done and we are ready to eat
this sure was tasty with a bit of gravy
some cottage cheese on our salad for a treat

and the broccoli tots
almost forgot the carrots but we enjoyed them too
This sure was a very tasty meal we both enjoyed . I do love my beef but beef does not love me. So a Pepcid AC was needed to help my tummy.  We did enjoy it though at the time.
No visible sunset tonight and cooling down rapidly, soon back to freezing again. Maybe will warm up again in the next few days, but won't hold my breath. Time to become a couch potato.
Thanks for stopping by and hope I don't screw up your comments anymore.

Also ran into Paul (AJ'S father) was here moving his trailer into storage. Even though cooler   the sunshine sure was nicely warming things up.
Back home decided to bake a few blueberry muffins from this mix I pick up, again in the states. Quick and easy makes 5 very tasty muffins. And of course makes our house smell wonderful.
