Another wonderful fall day, Turkey purchase for Thanksgiving and our last day here this year.

      Another night not so good of a sleep. Thinking my stomach muscles are still acting up and or my back is out.  So no breakfast and a slice of apple for lunch, Then a trip to Forest to pick up our Thanksgiving Turkey  on sale 7KG (15 lbs) for $22.00, Made room in our fridge to let it thaw for a few days.
    Back home a long hot shower then some of my Orthogell advanced pain relief I get from my Chiropractor, 2 advil and I start to feel relief almost right away. I will apply it again tonight before I go to bed again. Going to see my Chiropractor Wednesday morning anyway for a tune up.
    Now to check tires and oil before we leave in the morning heading to Suzie's sister Rose and BIL Ross in Tavistock, handy spot for a few more appointments and family get togethers. I then emptied our sewage tanks stored the hoses and put our Weber Q away. Also topped top the water in out coach batteries as well.
      Now I can relax outside in the warm afternoon sunshine beside us. Enjoy our e-readers for a while.

       Shortly after 3 pm our neighbour Mark joined us for Happy hour and then Tucker dragged Gerry over to join us. Our last one with these guys until the spring.

        Then a bit later Linda drops by with here puppies today to say Hi and goodbye for now.

      Time to head inside, supper tonight a nice easy meal hopefully good for my tummy and so far so good. A grilled cheese and tomato soup, An old stand by we have not had for years.

     After supper outside  for a bit finishing this posting and read for a bit. Loree and Freddie stopped by to say goodbye, see you guys in the spring.

our last night here this year

         About 7:30 pm we headed inside, cold down to 54F. relax for a but watch a show on tv and call it a night. Hopefully a better sleep tonight. Just inside a lock on the door Paul ad Judy came by to say see ya later and in the spring, as they know we leave too early in the morning for them

 Where have we been this Summer ?

Enjoying this warm fall weather and the colourful trees. Wrapping up a few things too. and some doggie fixes as well.

      Now over night was much warmer than it has been. At 6 am it was 60 F (15 C) and looks like it could be another wonderful day. Started with a couple of walkabouts got my first mile in then enjoyed an early light tasty lunch.
     And then to the reserve and gas up the car with cheap gas and pick up another pound of pickerel we love for on the road.
     On the way back I  passed a few wonderful fall trees turning color. So nice that we can enjoy these fall colors before we head south.

         After lunch I wanted to top up our fresh water tank and recycle our water softener cartridge again.

I just add a 1/2 cup of table salt and flush it through for about 15 minutes
soft water again 

      Next I wanted to clean and lube our Roadmaster tow Bar before we hit the road again. I do this 4-5 times a year, Maintenance does pay off.

      That taken care of we can enjoy this wonderful very warm sunny afternoon , 70 F and much warmer in the sunshine a perfect fall day.

      I finished another page turner and began the next in a series from Carolyn Arnold in here FBI series.I do enjoy her writing.

        Then about 3 pm Ron joined us for Happy hour and Tucker dragged Gerry over here to join us.

      Before 5 pm they headed home and I made supper, an easy one tonight, (Suzie's Request) a Brushetta Pizza we picked up last Sunday at the Pinery market cooked on the BBQ.

     I preheat our Weber Q set our trivet on the grill and added a few extra toppings for us.

plus a bit more cheese

this is so thin and light we ate the whole thing as usual

          After supper outside for a while enjoying our reading time. Linda stopped by with her puppies to chat and Suzie got yet another doggie fix.

     It was cooling down quickly to 60 F just after 7 pm so headed back inside for the evening. Wrap up this posting and soon call it a night after yet another great fall day.
     Only one more day here and heading back towards New Hamburg area to enjoy some fun family time for our Canadian Thanksgiving and a few more appointments to take care of before we cross the border making our way slowly to the southwest again.

A decent cooler day, sunshine and a nice happy hour

Where are we today ?

      Cooler again overnight a good nights sleep and up at 4;30 this morning chilly out there 40 F(4C). So got some breaky and coffees consumed, added another layer of clothes to be outside, undershirt, t-shirt, flannel shirt and my hoody and when the sun began warming things up to 45F about 9am I enjoyed a nice walkabout the quiet campground. Even quieter this weekend with next weekend being our Canadian Thanksgiving and the campground will be busy with Thanksgiving dinner and Halloween activities for everyone to enjoy. We will not be here our Thanksiving will be spent with our families.

       Enjoying our e readers in the warming sun was wonderful and noticed this large trailer pulling out of the park. I guess it was sold.

      At 2:30 this afternoon we were invited to Ron and Loree's for a nice quiet Happy hour. Just the 4 of us perfect  nice to catch up  with these guys again.

    We enjoyed about 90 minutes of sharing stories and flapping our gums, just after 4 pm time for us to head on home. They can have dinner and so can we.

         Back home to relax a bit and our new Neighbour Mark came to join us for a bit, looking for more tips. Along with his puppy Shilo. We had fun sharing more tips , then soon time for supper.

    As I was making supper than later the usual Loree and Freddie walked on by on their evening walkabout she asked how our fish a chips were. Not yet it has been delayed. Another Happy hour!

    Then now I can whip up supper. Tonight a 1/2 pound of pickerel fillets I picked on the rez the other day plus some fresh cut potatoes fried in our Fry Daddy. I fry the taters 2 times first time blanch then set them aside let the fryer get back to temp and fry again. Making them so crispy. Then when the fry daddy gets hot again  fry the fish only 3-4 minutes until nice and browned.

     Another decent fall day and much better after the sun came out a nice happy hour and a very tasty fish fry.
     We were invited to Marks for a nice campfire, but at 55 f outside not our style, Need to head inside get warmed and become couch potatoes for the night. Thanks anyway Mark.

No pain today, still cold and overcast, but was very productive and fun.

       After a cool drizzly day yesterday even colder this morning at 6 am (48F) and yes I had a wonderful sleep all night long right until 6 am. My muscle pain has completely gone and I feel brand new again, yahoo! But heck it is still mostly overcast this morning and only 50 F with a chilly breeze. Not feeling like  walkabout when this chilly, So just puttered around for a bit then a quick trip to Forest for a couple of things and check out the Turkey's they have there for our Canadian Thanks Giving next week, A decent price for Butterball turkeys about $21.00 for a 7 KG bird (15 lb). I will probably pick up on Monday that I will cook for my family dinner in Auroa for our Canadian Thanksgiving feast. On Oct 14th.

         Now a light tasty lunch and just because I feel great again I headed to the fitness centre here and get some exercise, beat up my body just because I can and we are here, being careful not to overdo it again. Lighter weights a bit and after about an hour it felt real good, no more pain. Outside right now not very nice for playing  too much. Still overcast 51F and cool breeze, think we can putter around inside.

          I have a bunch of Birthday and Christmas cards to take care of for our Grands all 8 of them, a perfect afternoon for it. 8 Christmas cards and 4 birthday cards to be hand delivered next weekend when we all get together. This took the better part of an hour,  12 cards I'm all, then our friend Ron stopped in for a nice visit flapping our gums, inside not outside. Always fun to catch up with Ron when we can.

     Now to enjoy our page turners and a quiet inside Happy hour inside but then the  sun came out and so did we. Melinda and Tucker dropped on by to join us, she is not working this afternoon, what a nice treat, Gerry was picking up their granddaughter.

           When Gerry got back they joined us. And of course the conversation just kept flowing,

     Then she wanted to go and Play, what more than climbing the tires is too much fun.

        And so are the swings wherever she wants to go that is where Grandpa takes her.

            They headed home about 5 pm and time for us to whip up supper.

            For supper gonna grill a couple of chicken legs and thighs on our Weber Q I got on sale the other day to go with our usual salad.

        Was going to head outside after supper to finish this posting but at 52 F and no sunshine decided to stay inside until this was done.  The weather is what it is and we can deal with it whatever way we like. This works for us.

      Last night after posting our blog we enjoyed reading outside for about a 1/2 hour and as we were coming inside  Loree was walking by with Freddie and stopped to chat for a bit.

    Now that was our fun day getting a few things taken care of and enjoying every minute of  it. Where did the day go?
