Where are we today?

Less rainy weather, some sunshine and warmer temps sure did make for a much nicer day. Got my coffee fix first thing after breaky and when the sun came up a few walkabouts the park. Not too bad of a day after all at least we had a sunny day. Worked on another year of burning photos to disc, and while that was going on got a couple loads of laundry done, blankets, sheets and comforters. Nice that the laundry is right across from our site.
It is now taking 6 dvds, to copy one year of photos and just finished 2012, few more years yet to go. Think I need to take less photos!
a pretty nice fall day |
Now before we know it was 3:30, wandered over to Gerry and Melinda's trailer. Tucker is on the table waiting for a Suzie fix.
Chatted with them for a while and a few people who dropped by, then home before 5 to fire up our Weber Q 100.
The Weber preheated and turned to low, a nice pork loin roast rubbed with olive oil and spiced nicely about 45 minutes and perfect 160f internal temp turning once for a few minutes to crisp up the fat cap.
Just added that to our salad and enjoyed another tasty meal. Of course leftover pork for lunches etc...
Now to relax outside for a while on a nice mild fall evening until close to 8 pm. Then time to head inside. Madame Secretary on at 8 ands Suzie' can't miss that! It is so peaceful here right now, gotta love it !
Thanks Suzie I needed that |
they love their new to them trailer, Tucker too. |
done to perfection |
love a tasty pork roast on the weber so tender |
Glad that y'all dropped by and hope you had a wonderful fall day as well.
Where we have been this summer
We had one more long day thanks to our club membership. Drove to London to get our new photos and Smart cards. Anyway, it is done. We have been waiting for Madame Secretary too and fully enjoyed the premiere.
ReplyDeleteIt was a good show, one of our favourites.
ReplyDeleteOh don't take less photos. Those are a link to your past.
ReplyDeleteWell I just need to take less duplicates....
DeleteI know what you mean on duplicate pictures George...editing takes so much time !
ReplyDeleteDinner looked yummy !
It does take time but is an enjoyable hobby, with memories saved.
DeleteI take hundreds of pictures. Some turn out fine and others not so much. However, pictures are a wonderful reminder of what you've done and where you've been. It's not so hard to store them. Keep using that camera. You'll be glad you did.
ReplyDeleteI will always take the pictures but will be more selective on what I keep. O also have about 30 , 3 inch photos albums and a couple of boxes stored at my daughter's, when I did film.
DeleteWe have found it to be much easier to just transfer the pictures to our external hard drive plus for added protection (not losing our photos) we also put them onto a thumb drive. We are very selective with our photos, we take quite a few of them throughout the day and then whittle them down to the best ones to save. If we have several of one picture but taken at different views we keep only the best one or two of the maybe four or five that we have taken of that same view. It may not be what others do but it works for us.

I will be doing of that, too many thumb drives needed for what I want to save right now. Will do more editing in the future.
DeleteWe do what Ruth and Kevin. You can buy very small external hard drives for your Mac at Best Buy that will last you years.
DeleteI have 3 external hard drives already, but Suzie wants them on DVDs.
DeleteDinner looks great as usual. On the pictures here's an idea... We have a few cameras in use, Shealgh's camera can take pictures at 16mp, but I have it set to take pictues at 8mp. This saves a lot of disk space. Also we have a "Cloud" account and everything gets backed up automatically. No need for DVDs.
ReplyDeleteI take mine at 5 mp that helps, and can use the cloud but really uses a lot of bandwidth that we have to pay a lot for.
DeleteAh, the bandwidth issue, I forgot about that being mobile...
DeleteWish it was not an issue, but at least we have internet.
