Where are we today?

What a wonderful day. A good sleep last night, so peaceful here, and warm sunny weather today. How can we not love that?
Got a nice walkabout town this morning.

The leaves are starting to change |
Then just before 9 am I headed to New Hamburg to get things wrapped up. Love it here everything we need is in a small town and so close. First stop by the lab for some blood work, hearing aid supplies for the winter, dollar store for a large roast pan to cook our turkey, Christmas and birthday gift cards, health food store for my supplements, bank for cash, Oak Grove Cheese to order some vacuumed packed extra old cheddar (to get us through the winter), forms from the Pharmacy to order our 6 months of meds, and even pick up a few groceries as well. Home by 11:30 for a nice light lunch wth Suzie.
That taken care of I hopped on the mower a mowed a few acres of lawn here, while Suzie headed intoWaterloo for her Chiropractic tune-up.

The pool is closed for the winter now so no more swimming this year |
Couple hours later I got most of it done and she was heading home, good timing! I will finish off tomorrow. No rush and the weather will be perfect again.
|
just trimming around our coach |
She got home in time for some relaxing reading time outside and a nice quiet Happy Hour.
|
Shorts and t shirt weather today |
Then time to fire up our Weber Q. Grill a couple chicken legs to go with another tasty healthy salad.
|
chicken on our Weber Q crispy on the outside moist and tender inside |
|
sure did the trick again love our chicken! |
By the time we were done about 7 pm, I am tired, bones and joints achy. It is the cool damp weather here that we need to get away from for the winter and I will feel wonderful again. Miss the hot summer weather.
Tomorrow's weather about the same and I will sure enjoy that too. Less than 2 weeks we cross the border and begin our southern journey, South west is the destination somewhere. The route to be determined as weather dictates and the mood strikes us on a daily basis. We have lots of options.
Thanks for stopping on by.
Where we have been this summer?
Those last three weeks went by so quickly. Looks like many of us are checking our list and crossing things off as we go. I haven't been able to find Xmas cards. I like to get a bunch for Colin's Mom, 102 years young and have someone mail them to her every few days but no cards so far this year.
ReplyDeleteIt was a cool 1C here this morning.
Not that cold here yet. I got the cards at the Dollar Store in New Hamburg, they always have a huge display
DeleteFinally found a Dollar Store with Xmas cards, picked up five for her :) She does love Christmas.
DeleteThat's Great I usually have a good selection of cards there.
DeleteIt won't be long. Are you coming to Casa Grande?
ReplyDeleteNo doubt we will pass through that way at some point, not sure if it is this fall or in the spring, We do plan on spending some time in Quartzsite area though. Hope to meet up with you again this winter.
DeletePlans are written in chalk as we travel like usual.
Sounds like you're getting to experience the nice fall season - my favorite of the year. It's beginning to feel more like fall here but still in the mid 80's
ReplyDeleteIt is pretty nice and hope it stays ths way for a while yet. Will feel like the 80's here today at least.
DeleteI'm with you George. I miss the summer heat. These days this week are beautiful and you will find me outside in the sun with my book as much as possible soaking the heat into my bones. Can't wait for the southwest daytime temps.
ReplyDeleteWe will take all of these warm sunny days we can get, gotta love it.
DeleteAnd the dry sunny days down south are calling us.
Time sure seems to fly by...you will be heading south before you know it! Enjoy your last few days...hope the weather stays nice!
ReplyDeleteThe forecast looks pretty good so far, we will love every minute of it !
DeleteI had a sweatshirt and long jeans on today. Definitely ready for warmer weather. Have a great trip south and hopefully we'll see you guys again this winter.
ReplyDeleteSoon time for us as well.
DeleteSure hope to meet up with you again, that would be wonderful.
One thing I miss about Ohio is the fall colors. I love seeing those.
ReplyDeleteTwo weeks are going to fly by.
The colors are just starting. We have a busy 2 weeks so they will fly by.
DeleteLooking forward to your travel stories. In the lower mainland things are getting soggy.
ReplyDeleteWe are so looking forward to travelling too.
DeleteWe've seen a lot of beautiful red, orange and green trees but I can't say they are beautiful with all the rain we've had too. Wish we could get out of here !
ReplyDeleteWe have been lucky here not much rain.
