Where are we today

Cool rainy morning to start the day just like it usually is when we begin our southern journey. Just puttered around for a while and into Pettigrew's to check our lottery ticket, no winner so back home secure our coach and on the road by 9 am.
Said good bye to our host John, then on down the road, rained pretty well all day. We stopped at the duty free parking lot, not to shop but make a quick light lunch before customs.
Got to the Queenston/Lewsiton border crossing and no issues here usual questions, fruit, veggies no, less the than limit on alcohol, we have fish and pork on board, no problem, have a good winter and we were on our way.

short lineup at the border 5 minute wait |
Then down the road to Smokin' Joes, fuel up the coach $2.09 a gallon and topped up our propane tank. Now we good for a while.
|
always good prices here |
Before noon we checked into Lazy Lakes resort (we like our free membership camping) and secured a site next to our friends Bill and Barb. He is working today but will be back later tonight, we will see them on the weekend..
|
the road in s wonderful, nice colors |
We all setup but, an issue with our satellite dish, huge trees in the way. No problem we have 28 channels on our antenna, maybe look at the dish tomorrow in the daylight. So that was put on hold and I whipped into town to stock up our fridge, debit machine, fruit veggies chicken etc.... By 4 pm I am home, supplies secured, cash in pocket, beer in car . Internet and tracfone topped up we are good to go.

nice and secure,still raining |
So for supper an easy fish sandwich done on our Weber Q grill matt, add to a salad and we are good to go for the night.

A short travel day, but we are across the border and all is good. stock up for the road and make a few plans for our trip ahead. As usual it is cold and rainy here almost like every year, Saturday should be nicer(we hope) for the trick or treaters.
Glad that you dropped in and hope you had a wonderful day as well, with less rain, We in the area until Monday then a dash west to hopefully beat some winter weather.
Where have we been this Winter
That snuck up on me before I realized! Have a great trip. You must be the most relaxed RVer around!
ReplyDeleteThanks FG we will, gotta be relaxed to enjoy this amazing lifestyle.
DeleteWhere is the Winter Weather that you are trying to beet?
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Winter can come early in some of the places we might be going.
DeleteWow, 2.09 per gallon! Not that cheap here out west. Hope your travels continue in a great way and you find lots of cheap gasoline!
ReplyDeleteWe look forward to travelling again some new places and new faces. Cheap gas is always a bonus when we are on the road.
DeleteOh! Wait! Weber Q grill mat? Now I have to go look that one up. Looks pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteThe grill mat comes in pretty handy, is great for some applications, Made eggs for breakfast on it the other day.
DeleteGreat that the border crossing was easy. Enjoy the journey.
ReplyDeleteWe usually just go right through now problem at all. Nice to get on the road again.
DeleteYes, the trees cause problems with the satellite in LL park.have fun at the Halloween festivities.
ReplyDeleteWe will check again when the rain lets up. We always have fun here, rain or shine.
DeleteBetter get your water wings on George, we're wearing life jackets over here. We unfortunately are parked on grass and may very well have some problems getting out with the ground being so saturated with water now.
ReplyDeletePretty soggy here too, but here for a couple days parked on gravel so not so bad.
DeleteI didn't realize you crossed up by Niagara Falls. Enjoy your stay.
ReplyDeleteWe meet up with some friends here every year before heading south.
DeleteWe were so happy to leave the cold and rain behind. The good thing is there is lots of sunshine the farther south you go.
ReplyDeleteNow we have rain and cold, hmmm guess it will be a while before we get warm and sunny.
DeleteAlright. The winter journey begins. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteThanks, we are more than ready.
DeleteIf you have Dish satellite, and are not on either the Atlantic or the Pacific coast, you may be able to get a signal from either their east or their west satellite. When the techs came to change out our broken dish on the roof, they picked the one with the strongest signal. Since I live in Texas, I can receive either.
ReplyDeleteWe have a shaw dish and will work fine except for the trees, and it is still pouring rain so nit gonna get wet trying again.
DeleteI am a bit early, but are you planning another Blogerfest this year? Hope, hope...
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling it will happen again, probably about the same time, will check with Wanderin' I think she may have a plan and we can work it out. Always was nice to meet fellow bloggers. Once we have something together it will be posted and shared I am sure.
DeleteWelcome back to the USA
