This morning was another cool one but not freezing , about 44f (6c) Nice walkabout town about 7:30 am again so peaceful here in a small town. About 9 am I hoped in the car to a Canadian Tire store in Kitchener.a foggy drive heading out of town |
2 miles further clear skies |
Then back to Plattsville dropped the 2 tires at Pettigrew's Garage where Dale will finish off the work on Friday morning. Check the cars brakes and get us ready to head out on the 20th.
After a light lunch I hopped on the mower to mow some grass that needed done for about an hour. Then can relax on a very nice warm fall afternoon, shorts and t shirt, one of our last warm, sunny days. Really enjoying our e-readers.

Where we have been this summer
Wow, that fog was think. Not a good morning for hitting the road.
ReplyDeleteIt is quite often thick in town here down close to the river, but clears up once out of town.
DeleteNice to get 'free' tires, George. I couldn't imagine how you could save up that much of their money but Bill explained the way you do it. We will soon pick up on some of these tricks!
ReplyDeleteThe Can Tire Options mastercard sure works for us, collect lotsa points year round.
DeleteCan. Tire has also been called Crappy Tire. Sometimes I go there but not too often.
ReplyDeleteYep crappy tire it is well known as, But do make use of the system, Have never paid for car tires in over 10 years.
DeleteWhen I hear FREE, a smile comes across my face.
ReplyDeleteYes us too, always like free.
DeleteIt is always nice when you can use points or rewards in order to pay for things that are needed, almost the same thing as "free"!

We make good use of those rewards and sure pays off.
DeleteFree tires - wow. And getting ready to head south is even better.
ReplyDeleteTwo of our favorite things, free and heading south.
DeleteSure wished the tire I am about to buy cost that much...
ReplyDeleteWe put 4 on our coach this summer for about $1,100. the car tires are pretty cheap.
DeleteSounds like you are getting anxious to head south. It won't be long now.
ReplyDeleteFor you can't wait to get on the road
DeleteNot long before we head out then about 3 weeks before we get to the southwest.
We've had fog recently. I don't like it but it's better now than when it's colder and actually freezes on the road. Get out of there before it gets worse!
ReplyDeleteI am sure we hit worse on our journey south.
DeleteLove that Canadian Tire money. We use a Canadian Tire Mastercard for our purchases there and it keeps track of our Canadian Tire money. I recently bought a new battery for the Honda and it came to $130 or so and the clerk asked if i wanted to use my stored up money. I said sure and it covered almost the full purchase!
ReplyDeleteIt works wonderful for us, about $300.00 every year to buy stuff at CDN Tire.
DeleteWish we had Canadian Tire stores in the states. Of course, then they'd have to change the name... :cD
ReplyDeleteWe wish too, buy we make the best of both countries. We still get our rewards in the states though.
DeleteAny chance our paths willcross next month ?
ReplyDeleteWe plan to head to Denver hope to be there end of October then south to Arizona.
DeleteNot sure which where you going?
