Another good nights sleep, the only Rv in the corner of this Walmart parking lot and no trucks, gotta love it. Milder last night and bout 50 f when I got up at 5 am. After a walkabout the grounds and the store we secured the coach and hit the road at 8 am then at 8:30 we ran into a bit of fog that only lasted about 30 minutes. The sun came out and the temperatures rose! And they rose.Along I-80 we have rest areas at least every hour, perfect. Can get out and stretch feel refreshed and away we go again. Stopped at one about noon, and was so warm shorts and t shirt. made a bite for lunch and heading west. Stopped at a Flying J for fuel (love the rv islands for fuelling). Another hour or so had the air conditioning going in the coach until we arrived at our destination at 3:30 pm.
nice water tower |
nice Arch across the road |
lots of roads like this not exciting but very relaxing Suzie even had a nap |
Walkabouts here to stretch some, and more reading done. Research more of our trip, (sure is nice to have our Verizon up and running again) then whipped up supper. Tonight a couple turkey burgers, in the frying pan, not gonna set up our Weber Q in a Walmart parking lot, that is just not right !
This is perfect weather and we will be looking for more as our journey progresses.Supper was tasty and hit the spot, now another walkabout and we can relax for the evening.
lotsa trucks over there, we were told to park here below |
no trucks just us = wonderful ! |
perfect way to end the day |
So nice to enjoy the travelling and relaxing at the end of the day. looking forward to being back on the road in the morning.
And as we reach higher altitudes we will have some colder weather, but our window of opportunity seems to be about right, that was why were rushed to get this far, soon we will slow down a lot more. Smell the roses and enjoy some amazing scenery, at least thats our plan.
Love turkey burgers. Also, my wife cooks ground turkey with veggies for our three pups. Yep, are pups eat better than some people.
ReplyDeleteTurkey is good for you. Treat your pups well they are man's best friend.
DeleteGlad that the temps suit you... that's a miserable trip if your stop at night is on an asphalt parking lot with the heat rolling off it! You're making good time... won't be long until you're "home".
ReplyDeleteWe loving this temperature, not too hot with a nice breeze.
DeleteWe just had turkey hot dogs. We are having a ton of fog here in Houston too.
ReplyDeleteThey are not our favorites but do love the burgers, healthier than regular hot dogs.
DeleteThis weather is certainly welcome. It is surprising that you are seeing 82F temps so far north. That is great!
ReplyDeleteYes we are enjoying it and unexpected too.
DeleteWell, you did get out of Ontario just in time!
ReplyDeleteWe sure did.
DeleteGreat that the weather is cooperating...sure makes travels less worrisome!
ReplyDeleteThe weather is perfect for travelling.
DeleteMerrily cruising along in great weather makes for good times. A sunny day here in Vancouver too, burgers tonight!
ReplyDeleteWe are doing just that and the burgers were wonderful too.
DeleteLove the empty Walmart lots. We also love satellite radio. It's new to us but sure enjoyable on the road!
ReplyDeleteThe rv section was empty, the other side was full of trucks, 30 or more, nice setup. We have enjoye the radio for a few years now, love it when we travel and we always travel.
