Another great nights sleep so peaceful and dark here in the country thats why we love it here. One nice thing we enjoy wake up in the morning have to look out the window to figure out where we are. At 5 am was a comfortable 68 F and then suddenly the rain came down very heavy for quite a while. Hmm our plan was to go to the Keady Farmer's Market/ Livestock Market only about 15 minutes away, only on Tuesday's here in the summer. Uncle Clare was coming to the market with and came out to see us at 8:30, the rain had let up. Supposed to rain later though. So off we go, got to the market by 9 am parked close and no rain. That's a good thing though a few puddles around.
We wandered around checked a few things here and there lots of fresh produce, meats, toys, baked goods you name it a good selection. And we supported this market quite nicely.

After lunch I took a nice country drive around a few concessions just because i could and check out mire of this lovely countryside. West of here a few roads to Mount Hope and the old church there built in 1872. Not much here a house across the road and a large dairy operation across the street.

I cruised a few more roads around enjoying the quiet country drive and noticed these cattle below all in line heading out the field to what looks like a feeding spot.

Down another road over this old bridge across a small creek , had been here for a long time.

This is where Clare and Cathy live a Pioneer community |
Back here to relax a bit outside enjoying a wonderful warm sunny afternoon with our e-readers. 84F with a light breeze was excellent. And I noticed Clare's cattle we closer the the barn here by the house. these are

ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful Market. The pizza is pretty good, very thin crust and light on the toppings so it cooks quickly
