Stopped at Pettigrews, checked our Lottery ticket won 2 bucks so reinvested it and back home, Soon to enjoy a light tasty lunch.

there was a large noisy crow in that tree with no leaves, when I took the picture he was gone |
Then another trip to New Hamburg Beer and Liquor store to stock up before the long weekend and crowds storming these and the Grocery stores. Then to the Home hardware in Plattsville to pick our garbage bag tag for pickup tomorrow. Chatted with them there about another expansion, They are opening and LCBO outlet there, and will be selling Beer, wine and alcohol in the near future. Great news for our small town. I am sure it will generate even more regular business there.

another wonderful exciting read |
Soon it was time to whip up supper. Tonight going to pan fry a couple of cod fish fillets on our Weber Q. The trick is a heavy pan (cast iron ) heated then add a couple of tablespoons of oil, and with a light breading of Flour or Fish crisp, we like 2-3 minutes a side, it will release from the pan nicely browned and turn over until the other side is browned, drain on paper towels and serve immediately. We added to our salad and candied carrots then enjoyed a very tasty meal.

this turned out wonderful |
I bought some carrots the other day 3 lb bag was the smallest so decided to made some candied carrots, I don't like cooked carrots but really like them done this way and have not done for a very long time. I sliced up a large carrot and boiled until tender, drain them then some melted butter, brown sugar melted in the same pot, stirred them until nicely coated nicely glazed then served. Oh my are they ever tasty!
