A book sale, winery, sunshine, big birds again and all you can eat fish...

Where are we today ?

        Up early and an awesome morning view off our patio overlooking the pond.

        Its a wonderful warm sunny day and a few things to do in the area. First off is the Minneola School Library and bake sale at the city hall gymnasium. Just down the road so gotta check it out. Hey its free and stuff is real inexpensive so why not.
        Well we did that and no books we needed and nothing jumped out at us and said buy me, but was fun anyway. Always like going to local events.
        Now this was done and heading back to camp we came across the Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards. This weekend is their 22nd annual open house. Another thing that has free admission, so gotta turn in here and check this out too. Opened at 10 am and it was 10:10 am so lets go.

        Still early and the food vendors were gearing up, but nothing to our liking and kinda expensive anyway.

          We checked out the crafts and stuff and again nothing jumped out and said buy me so we just enjoyed the fresh air, atmosphere, tasting a few food samples here and there and listened to the live band that was playing.

         We could have done free a Winery tour and free wine tasting but still only 10:30 in the morning, so will pass on that, instead wander about their store checked out some rather expensive wines and gifts and then a few of the vineyards by the parking area. We are not real wine connoisseurs, so it was not a real big deal anyway, we have enough wine on board, just in case. 

        It was beginning to get very busy here now, so think its time for us to head back home.  Make our own lunch. Got stuff to putter around with and books to read in the shade.

        And guess what these Sandhill Cranes wander about this resort like they own it. Not afraid of people at all, just digging up the grass looking for food and I guess they found some. I got as close as 8 feet and they just looked at me, think I'm close enough!

          Just enjoying this awesome weather and our books, a few walkabouts then its time for supper. We had to go the the "Honey Pot restaurant" in the resort and try their "all you can eat fish" tonight. Tuesday was chicken and it was awesome.
        Got there shortly after 5 o'clock and just a small line up so grabbed our trays and they were filled up, fried fish for me and baked fish for Suzie, fresh fries, applesauce, and a few fried donut thingys. Everything was fresh, hot and crispy and again very well organized.

        Again as much as you can eat and drink so no reason to leave hungry thats for sure. And on the way out the door grabbed an ice cream cone to go. A little desert to nibble on for the walk home.

        We are enjoying this great weather, hope you are having some too. New places to explore and stuff, all is good.
