Running the fan in our air conditioner last night sure helped keep things comfortable for sleeping just moving the air around with no breeze at all. Pretty well 70 all night long and the same at 5:30 this morning. A bit of sunshine to start the day and mostly comfortable . Got a lovely walkabout town for a couple of miles, stopped by Pettigrew's and paid the invoice from the work the other day.Thenback home before 8 am.I wanted a few things for supper tonight so a quick trip to New Hamburg to pick that up and home again by 8:30. Hopped on the mower about 10 am, got it going and down by the coach, Then stopped to make an early lunch. Wanted to get some lawn mowed today before the predicted very hot weather coming this way. headed out at 11;30 and mowed 3/4s of the yard by 1:30. Will finish the last bit at the front around the house probably tomorrow. only about 45 minutes and done. Getting hot while I was doing this and Suzie took her Dad to Stratford for another doctors appointment.

Where have we been this Summer ?
Sounds like a great day and a very tasty dinner.
ReplyDeleteIt was a wonderful day and dinner was excellent thanks.
DeleteChilled salads in the summer are wonderful and that looks really good. Getting creative with the lawn mowing Looks wonderful
ReplyDeleteIt was a very tasty salad lotsa good stuff in it.
DeleteJust mowing the circles was interesting and think it saved about 10 minute.
Another lovely hot day. Perhaps you should start the mowing at 8 before it gets hot. :) Out here in the country, Bill starts at 7 or 7:30, the neighbours are all up and off to work.
ReplyDeleteThe salad looks great. We have had it before and I may make it for Bill's family barbecue. Thanks for the reminder!
It was hot and even hotter today.
DeleteI would but this mower is pretty loud, the lawn its very damp and the one side of the yard has 15 houses backing onto it plus John likes to sleep in late.
That is a wonderful salad glad you like sit too.
Think I'd prefer the rain we've had over hot'n'humid. But we're heading right into your heatwave, thanks for the warning!
ReplyDeleteThe heat wave will probably be done when you get here.
DeleteCould you drive your mower down here and do my lawn please? Love the circles ... and broccoli salad is one of my all time favorites!!
ReplyDeletelol, it would not take long to cut it but a long time to get there.
DeleteThe circles were fun, and this salad is so very tasty too.
Lawn is looking wonderful once again. Amazing how fast it grows isn't it?! The pool looks awesome for an afternoon of heat. Your dinner looks especially yummy for such a hot day!
ReplyDeleteIt is looking nice again y last cut fo a while. The heat , the sun and the rain keep it growing like crazy cut about every 5-6 days. The pool is wonderful so refreshing.
DeleteDinner perfect for this hot weather. too.
To think you can mow all that grass and it takes Pollito two to three months to get the job done here.
ReplyDeleteYour meals always look delicious.
I can get all 5 acres done in 3 hours and needs to be done at least once a week.
DeleteThanks we do enjoy our tasty meals.
