Supposed to be very hot , but not so much just enjoying this day

             Up and raring to go at 5:30 this morning after a very good sleep. Start off with oatmeal orange juice and coffees, Then seeing as it will be very hot day I was outside at 7:00 am take the garbage out to the curb for 7 am and making use of the tree branch trimming tools I borrowed from neighbour Barry. So many trees, bushes branches etc. that grow here, some in the way of the motorhome and lots more in my way mowing the lawns here.
       Nice to have the long pole trimmer to get some of the higher branches from the ground. Then a walk around  this 5 acres trimming most of the branches that are in my way or attack me. By 9 am I hopped on the mower and finished the last bit of yard around the house and the RV. That all taken care of before 10 am and it was hot already 89F feeling like 104 and getting hotter. With this all done I was ready for my first swim of the day , maybe more if we don't get the predicted thunderstorms.

          Suzie had taken her Dad for another doctors appointment at 9 am and got back home by 11:30  so we enjoyed a nice light tasty lunch.  Then I went to New Hamburg to get more gas for the mower some groceries and stopped at  Steve Belk Jewellers and watch maker in New Hamburg to pick up my gold chain that he repaired for me. I have known Steve for probably 30 years always came into my restaurant for Fish and chips that they loved. He still wants me to open another restaurant , But that is not going to happen, been there done that and had a lot of fun. Burned myself out back then.

      While I was gone we had a very heavy downpour of rain and the temperature dropped, big time. 3 pm only 75F though they say it feels like 100F ?? No it does not, quite very comfortable here still.
     I got home to make the salad for maybe supper tonight if too hot. Chicken Balsamic Salad for that recipe you can click HERE or my recipe blog top right side bar.

    While in New Hamburg I picked up some chicken for a very good price. In case we wanted to grill some tonight.

     Back home Suzie and I enjoyed a very nice afternoon in the shade chatting and reading, then at 4 pm it was decided another swim in the pool, just because we can. Oh my this feels so good.

     I split these into 2 meals cooked one tonight and the rest in our freezer for another meal.

     Supper was wonderful and we even had some leftovers for lunches or whatever.

     Now we can enjoy more of this nice warm summer weather outside. Finish this posting and right back into our our page turners again. We sure are enjoying this summer weather so quiet and peaceful here.  Hope you are enjoying this weather as well.

       Last night I took drive down the road a few hundred yards and managed to catch another interesting country sunset.

      Now listening to the birds, and mourning doves,  watching the squirrels, and bunnies Nothing quite like this quiet peaceful country living.

Warmer day again lawn mowing and enjoy this wonderful day

        Running the fan in our air conditioner last night sure helped keep things comfortable for sleeping just moving the air around with no breeze at all. Pretty well 70 all night long and the same at 5:30 this morning. A bit of sunshine to start the day and mostly comfortable . Got a lovely walkabout town for a couple of miles, stopped by Pettigrew's and paid the invoice from the work the other day.Thenback home before 8 am.
      I wanted a few things for supper tonight so a quick trip to New Hamburg to pick that up and home again by 8:30. Hopped on the mower about 10 am, got it going and down by the coach, Then stopped to make an early lunch. Wanted to get some lawn mowed today before the predicted very hot weather coming this way.  headed out at 11;30 and mowed 3/4s of the yard by 1:30. Will finish the last bit at the front around the house probably tomorrow. only about 45 minutes and done. Getting hot while I was doing this and Suzie took her Dad to Stratford for another doctors appointment.

        Then across from the last few acres  looks like wheat to me below , but then I am not a farmer.

      Now because of this hotter weather we are having Suzie wanted something cold for supper. So once the lawn was mowed I whipped up a Broccoli Apple salad we enjoy and have not had for a while. For that recipe you can click  HERE  or my revised recipe blog top right sidebar.  I only made 1/2 of that recipe just enough for us tonight but also added some cut up fresh mushrooms, just because I can and we like fresh mushrooms.

     That taken care of it was pretty warm then I went for a nice refreshing swim in the pool made me feel wonderful once again. More comfortable to relax in the shade and getting back into a new page turner.
     Suzie got home shortly after 3 pm and she felt like a swim as well, I will always go and enjoy this pool swimming with my favourite mermaid. Heck we can and we will enjoy it here while we can.

       A nice quiet Happy hour and soon time for supper. Pretty easy tonight this wonderful salad and a canned ham we wanted to use up, it was due to be used and we do enjoy them on occasion. Along with some tasty extra old aged  cheddar cheese we love.

     Later last night I took a  drive down the road to catch a nice sunset only a few hundred yards beyond the trees here.

      That was our busy wonderful day we both enjoyed. getting more things taken care of before we leave this area. Most of the lawn mowed, pool enjoyed and a tasty supper well.

 Where have we been this Summer ?

Putter around a bit enjoying this summer weather and getting a few things done.

Where are we today ?

       A nice cool night for sleeping and comfortable 50F at 5 am, nice morning and going to be a wonderful day. According to the forecast after today the rest of the week will be very hot. with humidity temperatures feeling up to 109 F. We are ready, the pool is ready bring it on. Got a nice morning walkabout town for a couple of miles enjoying quiet day here and sunshine. Stopped by Pettigrew's for a few minutes to discuss the plans for tomorrow with the rv.
       Not much on the agenda today, will be  busy tomorrow, so puttered around for a bit picked up a few groceries, dragged the 200 feet of hose down to fill up our Fresh water tank, and enjoyed the sky views and wildlife around here, the cute chipmunks, fast squirrels, all the birds chirping and even a deer wandering through the field.

         And of course we did get some quality reading time in before Happy hour. Then at 3:30 pm decided a refreshing dip in the pool sure would be wonderful and it was.Water temp a wonderful 79F  does not get much better than that and yahoo we are fully refreshed once again.

           Soon time to whip up supper, grill some chicken legs and thighs on our Weber Q to go with our salad tonight.  It has been a few days since we had chicken we are ready again.

      After supper enjoying this wonderful warm evening and heard a noise! Heck George was here to pump us out from M & G Portables , Did not know when he was coming, but we are ready and he even brought his wife Marilyn along as well. Nice to see them both drop by for a pump out and a visit as well.

       When they got here we were having a bit of rain but he had his rain gear on not a problem.

        Then I can post some pictures of last nights sunset and the late night skies, always pretty nice here no complaints from us.

       That was it for our relaxing day enjoying this weather and getting things done. Busy day tomorrow, and will see how that goes.

Another busy day and enjoying this amazing summer heat.

Where are we today ?

     We went to bed last night before the sunset and before 9pm. Know we had to be out of here before 5:30 this morning. I was up at 4 am (no alarm needed for me) Made a pot of coffee and made sure Suzie was up before 5. A very foggy morning.

       So we left just before 5:30 I dropped her of  at her Dad's in New Hamburg and she took him into St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener for his 6:30 appointment for a few more tests. All is fine just another check up. Suzie took him back home by 11am and was going to stay there for  a while with him and visit some more.
          I came back home puttered around did a nice walkabout town for a couple of miles, then back home to head on out for a nice country drive, just because I could. On my drive I headed east to Washington, south through Drumbo and Princeton then through Scotland to Burford. Passing some tobacco fields and ginseng crops along the way a nice peaceful country drive.
      Also stopped at Sobeys to pick up a couple of prime ribs steaks, good deal at $6.77 a lb.

     Back to Plattsville this huge tree down the street in front of the sand paper factory is shedding looks like snow on the ground.

      Back home I stored our propane heater (finally), hooked up the water hose, recharged our water softener again, and refilled our fresh water tank. Just about done and Suzie texted me to come pick her up in New Hamburg, nice that it is only 10 minutes away. Back here by 1:30 and it was pretty hot so I went for a swim in this wonderful refreshing pool right here, temperature with humidity is saying 93 F , sunny and no breeze, yup I can go for a swim. Pool at 79 F perfect.

       Now all  refreshed we can relax in the shade and enjoy our e-readers for a while. I started a new John Sandford , Holy Ghost, the last I have right now in the Virgel Flowers series.  I always enjoy his action packed adventures.

        We heard tractor going down the road and they are trimming the brush on the side of the road, so that it is not overgrown.

     What a wonderful afternoon we enjoyed, a quiet happy hour then at 4:30 it was still hot here and Suzie wanted to go for a swim !! Heck you know it is hot when she wants to go for a swim. A rare occasion. And we are in the perfect spot, pool a hundred yards away and a very comfortable 79F , Ok I can go back in again , yahoo we in the pool together, nice when it is not crowded. Just the 2 of us.

          We had thought about about going for wing night at the Trails  Edge in town. But decided a perfect day to enjoy one of our prime rib steaks, baked potato on our Weber Q and a salad, just because we can and got such a good deal on the steaks. The other one in the freezer

     We did enjoy a very nice hot summer day, busy, yes but we know how to relax in the afternoon. When it gets really hot.
