Some how my formatting went kinda funky tonight, not sure if it was me or blogger. Not matter not the first time and probably not the last time, But this was our day if you can make your way through it.
Another hot night again 79F at 10 pm so our front a/c on lowest at 72F and was perfect for sleeping all night until 5 am was 69F outside, supposed to be another hot day, but we do have a nice s/w breeze. I got a 2 miles walkabout in by shortly after 8 am felt good. Puttered around a bit then a drive to Juicy Fruit Farms on HWY 21 for some of their first picking of bi-color (peaches and Cream) corn this year, the white corn is not ready yet which we prefer.
They have fresh local beef and pork ,
tasty bakery items as well. Plus other items etc..

love their check out a 1963 Chevy way too cool |
After today it should be cooling down a bit.
at least we have a wonderful breeze cooling this down and a shady spot behind us to! |
humidity at 75% makes it feel much warmer |
the winds are wild but our awning secure for now |
looks nice for a while |
nice here for a while then got too hot |
so we moved behind the coach more shade and a nice breeze |
Tucker loves Suzie |
Tucker Brought Gerry |
then Melinda done work got to join us what a fun time we had telling lies and sharing stories |
For supper I cooked a Tuna Steak for me and a Sword fish steak for Suzie , she prefers the Swordfish over Tuna and we happened to have one of each, You can click the links Swordfish or Tuna both cooked very similar or my recipe blog top right sidebar, quick easy and so good if not overlooked. To that we added a small salad and some fresh corn on the cob I pickup us this morning. I like to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes in the husks and grill for 15-20 minutes or so, using the Weber Q anyway so why not ? Oh so tasty cooked this way.
Just as the fish was about to be done a major wind picked up, so we quickly stored our awning, wow what a wind it was too. Don't need to loose another awning. So our fish was slightly over cooked by about 30 seconds , with these really makes a huge difference.
quick easy and tasty |
Suzie's Sword fish this fresh local corn is awesome |
my tuna so very tasty slightly over cooked but still tasty and very tender |
the storm is almost here right in time for supper |
inside looking outside looking out we had some major wind an rain for maybe 10 minutes |
a nice sunset thorough the trees |

Where have we been this Summer ?
Remember when we were told computers would make our lives simpler? Somebody lied. ;c)
ReplyDeleteYup that is so true, but now we can keep in touch, this way. With so many people we would never had heard about like you guys for instance . Maybe some day we will meet up.
DeleteThe Rain must have got to you first. We are just getting it now.
ReplyDeleteNice to be able to Enjoy what nature has to offer.
Be Safe!
It's about time.
I guess we got it before you, all done her now, we enjoy whatever comes our way.
DeleteI think that's the first time I ever heard you say it was overdone. :O) But always good just the same, eh. I'm headed for some of that hot type weather too on a trip. Takes hot weather to appreciate cool weather. I'm like you and just take it as it comes.
ReplyDeleteLOL, the tuna at 2 minutes a side is perfectly done,I was ready to take if off the grill when the storm came in so quickly we rolled up the awning, 30 seconds made a big difference. The hot weather is nice and a bit cooler is appreciated too, Enjoy your trip.
DeleteThat certainly looks like a pleasant place to spend some quality time.
ReplyDeleteIt is very nice here we really enjoy it.
DeleteI love the way you always have something wonderful to post no matter what comes your way. Another great meal on the table to.
ReplyDeleteYou post looks fine to me
Thanks J0 I believe there is something good in everyday that we are blessed to be able to enjoy it.
DeleteThe meal was excellent thanks.
It was another great day, even with the heat. We can adjust. And A/C is meant for those times too!
ReplyDeleteOnce our rain started around 5:30, it didn't stop until 8. That was wonderful!! And then a couple of times through the night so everything is good and watered. Yay!
Yes we loving this weather the rain really cooled things down a refreshing change. The lawns watered and growing again. plus the farmers crops will love it too.
DeleteAmazing how much fun kids can have from a couple of tires stuck in the ground.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is they seem to enjoy the tires more than the other playground stuff.
DeleteI'm not a fan of the bi color corn, weird that it tastes different because I like yellow and white corn on their own, but fave is white corn. Love that you've still got kids there to enjoy watching :) Weird that sometimes blogger has a mind of it's own, but even with that yours is still easier to read than some others. Dinner looks yummy once again!
ReplyDeleteTh bi color is all that was available, like you we prefer the yellow or white, especially the white. There will be kids around here pretty well all summer until they go back to school in the fall, then just on the weekends.
DeleteHope the rain cools things down a bit for you. A brief front passed thru last night and the wind knocked out the power. I already had our awning in, keep an eye on yours!
ReplyDeleteWe always keep and eye on it and this site is pretty sheltered. Plus it is pretty well secured for most weather. Think the power went out here for a while, but really not a problem for us.
