Rain then hot , rain and hot again, but still a wonderful day we enjoyed.

     Wow it was warm overnight for sleeping 72 F, and no breeze at all. Humidity about 80%. With not enough power to run our air conditioners I did the next best thing. Put a small fan in the bedroom and sure made a nice difference so we did get a good sleep.
      So good a sleep actually slept until 6 am. a nice treat. And still 72 F. but now it starts to rain, and more rain, heavy rain.With this morning rain no walkabouts this morning. I wanted to go the Waterloo today and pick up a Box of coffee for our pantry, getting pretty low. We do enjoy the coffee and have been drinking it for over 30 years, very reasonable too, $24.95 for a box of  42 pouches .59 cents each and each pouch makes 12 cups of coffee, 5 cents a cup that is very reasonable. Thats how coffee shops make all their money. I did not make as much in my restaurant because I had a bottomless cup of coffee for a buck.

          We enjoyed  a tasty lunch then a quick trip on the back roads to New Hamburg to pick up a prescription and take my broken gold chain in to be repaired  at our favorite watch repair/jeweller there, Steve Belk.

          Now to enjoy a wonderful warming up afternoon in the shade . The rain showers had stopped and getting hotter by the minute. Temperature 82F feels like 97 humidity 85% we do have a nice breeze here in the shade though. Suzie has gone to her Dad's to help him with some computer stuff for a bit and a visitation as well. While she was gone I enjoyed a very nice refreshing swim in the pool, about 2 pm, Supposed to rain later on at 4 pm and they did pretty good, It started at 3:58pm! So that is not a good time to go for a swim.
     She was back home shortly after 3 pm for Happy hour and for supper tonight going to grill a large smoked pork chop that we will share and add to our salad. Now with not enough power to run our air-conditioners. I found out that we can turn them on just for fan only if we need more air movement and use very little power. We will keep that in mind over the next few days. In this upcoming heat wave.
    The rain did come down pretty good but we are nice a dry right here under our awning and enjoying this warm rain, along with the fresh smells it brings.

     Soon time to whip up supper. made our salad and just few minutes to heat up the smoked pork chop, that we shared.

         This sure did the trick tonight, so tender, juicy and tasty more than enough to share and our salad to fill in the holes.

        Now we can relax enjoying the peace a quiet, birds chirping and bunnies, squirrels , chipmunks running around the yard. Really do love it here.

         I did not get a sunset last night too overcast. Maybe tonight and if I do you will see that in tomorrow's posting.
