Much cooler today and getting ready to head on down the road again, finally!

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
After I posted yesterday's blog hoping for a sunset but then just about 8:30 the skies got really dark, a storm front coming in, severe winds picked up a few branches came down. Ok we quickly rolled up our awning, then the rains came down, big time. We got inside just in time.
brutal looking skies but we survived
The coach had cooled down nicely so can shut our air conditioners off, and the generator and plug back into power. So a very nice comfortable sleep and the sunshine shining in the bedroom window at 6 am was a nice way to wake up.
nice to see the morning sun shining on my face
Got my coffees and computing taken care of and at 7:30 wanting go for a walkabout but the rain began again. Oh well maybe later. At least the temperature is much more comfortable now less humidity and temps mostly in the high 70's the majority of the day. Just a quick trip to the store , and a tasty light lunch and then putter around outside here for the afternoon, check tire pressure and oil as we heading out in the morning. And a few short walkabouts. Sure is about time! We have been here in one spot for 5 weeks way longer than we like to stay in one place. Though we do love it here. We are both ready to relocate, that hitch itch is something in our blood. A change in scenery is always welcome.
the sunrise out our dinning room window was wonderful
nice country drive into New Hamburg
Both Suzie and I have both been like this pretty well all our lives. I have owned 11 houses moved 21 times before we went fulltime, camped on the east coast 7 times, out west to Vancouver island through Canada, and back through the northern states travelled all over Ontario camping since I was 18 years old. Lived in Toronto as a child and spent most of our summers and weekends on Georgian Bay, always moving around. I know Suzie has lived on the Farm, Kitchener, Toronto and has travelled many places, Europe and the US when she was a travel agent. Yup it is in our blood.
Then this afternoon we enjoyed a quiet happy hour, enjoying the peace and quiet. watching the birds, chipmunks and squirrels, listening the mourning doves so wonderful here. Going to miss this peacefulness. But we do have to move. It is in our blood.
time for new scenery
Supper tonight going to grill a couple of Hayter's Onion and Parsley Turkey burgers that we love, and some of our leftover salads. to finish them off
had a package of bacon to cook, no longer a pound here
300 Grams .6 pounds  same price though
nice to pre cook it though
turkey burgers done, cheese and bacon on mine
and English muffins warmed in the foil
this did the trick tonight and all the leftovers taken care of
Supper done, dishes done can store our Weber Q and secure our awning for travel in the morning. We really need yo go!!
We have enjoyed this much cooler day no need for a swim in the pool today we were very comfortable outside here all day long.
Want to thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoyed this much cooler weather as well.
Maybe catch a sunset later and and if I do your will see it tomorrow.

  5. Yep my required summer time location (grandkids) is coming to an end. School starts in 2 weeks and the hitch itch is getting strong again. You are right, the road certainly can have a loud call can't it.

  9. Since I hate to pack up and move the coach, I rarely get hitch-itch and can usually stay several weeks at each stop.

    1. We don't have a problem packing up and moving, but 2-3 weeks in one spot is long enough .

  10. We'll be looking forward to your new travels George. We can sure relate to the hitch itch disease. 3-4 days is usually enough in one spot for us, sometimes only a day before the road beckons us on.
