Here we go again another very warm overnight, small fan in the bedroom make it very comfortable, Up at 5:30 this morning and 75F, will see how today goes, this is supposed to be the hottest day yet, then will start cooling down tomorrow. By 7:00 am it was 80f and very humid so not much of a walkabout this morning. No work planned today just going to putter around a bit , enjoy the shade outside with some computing the pool and enjoying our e-readers and a possibly a few dips in to pool if it is not too busy being a hot weekend. Really too hot to do much more, but I do love the heat and know how to handle it
Too hot in the shade under our awning that has the sun beating on it but a few feet away we can enjoy the shade under the trees and a nice breeze feels pretty good. After lunch I went for a dip in the pool and just felt so wonderful and refreshing.

Just after moving to this shade at 12 noon, I went for a wonderful refreshing swim in the pool water a comfortable 80F, I am good for a while now. Only 88F inside the coach but no need to fire up our generator yet to run the air conditioners.

Enjoying the shade trees and the breeze about 2pm Suzie decided time for a swim in the pool. OK I am game lets go. Splashing around the pool for a while is a perfect way to cool down but no shade there to sit around it. So back under the trees again. The temperature down 92F and with the humidity feels like 113f. Now again at 3 pm I headed into the pool again, now all refreshed again . we do love to be able to enjoy the pool here this is why we call it Camp Awesome
We were invited over to Dennis and Sandys for a BBQ tonight and her Dad will be there as well. No problem whatever we having plus I will take our 2 salads along to share. A nice meal with them before we leave the area on Monday.
We arrived there` about 3:30 , list with her dad , and Sandy had some boneless skinless chicken thighs for me to grill on their Weber Q. Sandy is making some potatoes and carrots to go with the meat and salads, we will have a feast I am sure.

We got there about 3:30 and enjoyed a nice visit then soon time to fire up their Weber Q and grill a nice meal of pork tender loins and some boneless skinless chicken thighs for tonight's dinner..

Then desert strawberry shortcake with some blueberries and ice-cream . this was way over the top good!

Soon time for us the head home again. 95F inside our coach so a quick fix , disconnect from power fire up the generator and turn both a/c's on . Will not take long to cool down inside our coach. In the meantime we can relax outside in the shade with a nice cooling a breeze . And as predicted temperature inside went from 95F to 75 F in an hour and soon the outside temperatures will get down to that as well.
Last night a quick trip down the road to catch a nice sunset again, they get earlier every night now as the days get shorter.

Another fun day we enjoyed with this amazing hot weather and managed too keep our cool. Thanks for taking the time to drop by and hope you enjoyed this hot summer weather as well.
Starting tonight and tomorrow will be cooling right back down again.

You sure made use of the pool today, I do not blame you with the temperatures you are experiencing. Who are Dennis and Sandy? The food spread looks delicious as well as the dessert. Stay cool.
ReplyDeleteWe sure did enjoy the pool and this weather. Dennis and Sandy are Suzie's brother and sisterinlaw,,only about 10 minutes away , we stay there in the spring and fall in the bush.

Thank you for the reply. I figured it had to be someone on her side of the family if her dad was going to be there. With my CRS sometimes names do not register for long.

DeleteIt was a very hot day but a dip to cool off is the perfect remedy. I think Blogger burped, you have duplicate pictures and paragraphs. I thought I needed a drink!! haha

DeleteSpectacular sunset. 88F is when I will turn on the AC inside unless we are outside all day. You are right it does not take long to cool it down.
