It is like summer came back! And made a large pot of homemade spaghetti sauce.

Where are we today ?
Clic a pic to enlarge it
Again a cool night, (good for sleeping) but today is going to be amazing ! No wind, no rain, not humid and bright sunny skies with temps in the low 80"s (27c) now this is what we (I) really enjoy. Still not warm enough for Suzie to put shorts on yet.
About 7 am I began to make a huge pot of homemade spaghetti sauce. For my recipe you can click HERE or my recipe blog top right sidebar. We were gifted a whole bunch of fresh garden tomatoes from some friends here so made good use of them. This time I pre cooked one pound of lean ground turkey , or you can use whatever you like, hamburger or leftover cooked meat.
Our friend Rob and Pat pulled out this morning just after 9 am.back to their homestead. So nice to spend time with them again here in the campground and that they could unwind. See you guys again down the road travel safe.
everything ready to make the sauce.
Into the pot and just let it summer, the longer the better. Smells wonderful!
This is the wonderful skies we saw almost all day long, really perfect.
Did run a couple of errands locally today picked up this spin mop that Suzie has tried and wanted  to mop the new flooring in our coach . I ordered in from the Home Hardware in Arkona last week came in today. Exclusive only to Home Hardware. and think she will really like it.
actually too hot to sit in the sun  but we have shade here as well.
After lunch got some quality reading time in, just because I could. Then got restless and headed to the fitness centre here in our park for a good work out. Now energized and good to go for a while longer.
Back to our e-readers then shortly after 3 pm Tucker dragged Gerry over for Happy (social) hour. Tucker knows he will get a small treat and Suzie gets her doggie fix. Gerry joins us in flapping his gums with us, discussing possible options for our/their winter travels.
Tucker fix for Suzie and a treat for him
that is Tucker smiling
Gerry too
Then about 4:30 Melinda's done work and came by to pick up Gerry to take them home for their supper.
I headed inside to prepare a spaghetti squash. So easy to do. scoup out the seeds, turn over, poke with a fork cover with saran wrap and 12 minutes in the microwave. Done to perfection !
Then with an oven mit scoup out the spaghetti onto our plates and top with my homemade spaghetti sauce.
all done and so tasty. no carbs other
that the garlic bread on the side
Now back outside still enjoying this wonderful warm weather. Posting this blog, read for a while, just because we can! Then Maya dragged Walt on by and she made a bee line right for Suzie, as usual a couple of tiny treats for her if  she is a good girl, which she always is.
she sits nicely for her treats
Thanks for stopping in and really hope that y'all had an amazing day as well.

  1. Sounds like a wonderful day and the weather, ours has been the same, is perfect. Warm and sunny days and cool nights are the best. That meal is what I am thinking of making tomorrow for dinner though I will be using a bottled sauce...:)

    1. Glad you had nice weather as well. Love a spaghetti squash, and spaghetti sauce from a jar works well too.I was given all these fresh tomatoes , more than we could eat.

  3. Sounds like a great day. I was intrigued with the spaghetti sauce and in my mind followed it until it was served on the plate. I must say it looked delicious and the sugar takes the edge off the tomatoes. Makes me want to cook some spaghetti sauce now.

  4. I'm sure it was a great day, but with those temps the Weber seems like a better option then a simmering pot of sauce inside ... but then again FRESH of the vine tomatoes? OK that makes sense ... looks delish!

    1. The weather is to be like this all week and I wanted to make good use of these tomatoes. I made the sauce early in the morning. Froze some of it then just reheated enough for supper. Our Weber Q got a rest.

  5. I'm sure I'll be making some sauce and more soup to use up the last of my tomatoes too. They are ripening almost faster than I can eat them.
    Perfect summer days!

    1. Spaghettis squash we buy it when it is reasonable .
We had no dogs, the dog house on a front engine gas motor home, is the shroud over the engine between the driver and passenger seat, big hump in the floor.
