This morning started off with a lovely sunrise, cool but sunny, Then it got cloudy , and rainy. Ah poop ! But did get a few nice walkabouts before the rain started.nice sunrise across the road |
the sun on the wind turbines looks amazing |
I have been waiting for some of this weather to get a few things done, First was to defrost our freezer that I usually do every fall before we head south. It is still pretty full but most of what is in there we can take across the border. Then took the time to go through my photos for the last 2 months and get rid of a few hundred that we don't need to keep.
By this time it was about 2 pm and the rain had stopped and we some some sunny spells, still did not get much over 60 F (15 C) but was nice in the sun. Got some quality reading time in before 3 pm when Happy hour here evolves and a few people stopped in to join us.
Jane stopped by to give Gerry a hard time, but then everyone does that to Gerry. |
Choco |
Tucker is smiling right? |
LR Joe, Gerry, Doug, Suzie, Melinda, Judy and Paul of course I take the picture |
foil package is some fresh carrots with honey |
the bacon and onion smelling wonderful
now this was once again done to perfection |
sure was tasty and tender, cut the liver with a fork |
Much cooler today only no shorts for sitting outside but still a pretty decent day with afternoon sunshine for a while.
Still outside after 7:30 pm posting this blog and gonna read some more for a while.
Thanks for stopping in and hope you are enjoying this cooler weather more than we are. Think tomorrow I will make a pot of soup, just because I can.

I love liver and onions too but a lot of folks don't. Sounds like a good day for you!
ReplyDeleteLiver is one thing people either love or hate. It sure was a wonderful day even it the weather cooled down a lot!
DeleteLove the picture of the sun on the turbines!!! Great pics!!!
ReplyDeleteLove those little doggies....too cute!!
Thanks it was a fun day just a bit cooler.
DeleteOh boy that sure looks good.
ReplyDeleteThanks, it sure was melt in your mouth tasty.
DeleteThe picture with the sun on the turbines is a great picture.
ReplyDeleteThanks I thought it was kind of special when it caught my eye.
DeleteBlessedly cool here; got some outside work done. That lover and onions looks great! One of my favourites.
ReplyDeleteThus is now moe your kinda weather, good for working outside without the rain.. It was a real treat for us last nights supper.
DeleteI am going to have to get one of those grill mats. Then I can make all the liver and onions I want. Sure looked great. Currently, only get to order it when I go out to a truckers restaurant.
ReplyDeleteThe grill mat sure comes in handy, leave all the mess and cooking smells outside.
DeleteGlad you got your liver and onion meal in! The prices are so reasonable for liver because not so many people like it. Good! Lucky that you both love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat turbine picture, I love those here too. Could be warmer, George! :)
Yes it was awesome, and like you said very reasonable. It is nice we both love it too.
DeleteYes it could be warner, but we did have a wonderful fall heatwave.
Gotta admit yours and Patsy's liver and onion looks wonderful..just don't like it (Ken does)..Looks like a great Happy Hour once again! Won't be long and you'll be heading south to warmer temps...
ReplyDeleteNot everyone likes liver but glad that we both do. We take advantage of these get togethers while the weather permits and people have time. !9 more days and we ht the road slowly making our way south.
DeleteI've always wondered about those grill mats. Obviously they work ... are they easy to clean?
ReplyDeleteYes Nancy very easy to clean, wipe with a paper towel , then got drop it in you dish water, non-stick they are. Works great for a lot of items on the grill.
