The beginning of another very warm late summer day, some walkabouts the campground enjoying the lovely weather, and today I noticed a couple of more trees beginning to change color.
A bit later I cleaned and washed 8 romaine hearts and set into the large bowl I borrowed from the clubhouse. With the caesar salad I made the caesar dressing that I used in my restaurant Jessie's Diner) for 10 years, So tasty and flavourful for the recipe you can click

my mini food processor does the trick |

all done on time and I carved them up |
Shortly after noon I went down to the kitchen and set up the large electric roaster to heat up the 2 - 11 lb bone in Hickory smoked spiral hams. For our summer dart club banquet. Low and slow so as to not dry it out. They came with a glaze that I will add shortly before the end.
Then back home to enjoy this wonderful weather in the shade, started a new book again, as usual Baldacci writes some wonderful page turners.
The dart club supplies the meat with the proceeds made over the supper and rest divided up in various ways for us dart players. The rest of the meal is a pot luck with about 32 people expected for supper.
