New deep cycle house batteries and adjust my Mac.

Where are we today ?
Arkona Ontario
The standard up early and ready to go. Coffees and computing we are ready to hit the road at 8 am.  First stop is Canadian Cart sales in St. Mary's Ontario. Gotta pick up two new house batteries for our coach. They have good quality deep cycle Trojan golf cart batteries at a reasonable price. (thanks to a referral from Rob at Rock Glen resort!).
A nice country drive for about an hour and we arrived in St. Mary's, such a pretty town with amazing old buildings from another era.
We quickly drove thru town but are on a mission. Pick up our new batteries.
Stopped at Canadian Carts and they loaded up our two new batteries in the car trunk, unloaded our credit card for a few bucks too. Very friendly people to deal with.
got our batteries here
Then 40 minutes further on to Kitchener and stop at Carbon Computing   talk with Dan our computer techie, about my Mac Book pro. Its been doing some weird stuff lately. Track pad and key board acting up and not doing what I want. He checked it out right there on the spot, showed me a few keystrokes and all fixed, just like that! No charge,  sure like dealing with these guys.
This was all done in good time and by 10:30 am so we cruised thru downtown Kitchener, stopped at the Golden Arches for a quick bite then hopped on the hiway to take the fast boring road back to Arkona (hwy 401 and 402).
But back here before 1 o'clock, puttered around a bit, reinstalled the throw rugs and blankets from the carpet shampooing yesterday etc.. Then removed our old house batteries (almost 7 years old so ready to be replaced) and hooked up the new ones, all is good now.
We even had time to read for a while in the shade with our books and enjoy yet another great (almost fall) day. Until time for supper. I went thru  the freezer and found some large shrimp that needed to be cooked, so, today I gonna whip some a very tasty Garlic shrimp pasta with a tossed salad on the side. Really hit the spot.
yep it sure hit the spot
Thanks once again for the visit, our day was awesome hope yours was too.

  2. All those chores are almost done and all you will have left to do is count down the days until you head south. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  5. I think you did well to get seven years out of those batteries, but of course, they were Trojans after all. I guess that really does count for something.
Hopefully the next set will last as long.

  6. D'oh! Well now. I sure got that wrong. This is one of those times when I wouldn't mind taking back my dumb comment. Here I thought the Trojans were being replaced!
Well hells bells, you REALLY did well to get seven years out of your old batteries.
What's that expression? (and I'm only referring to myself here)
    "You can't fix stupid"?

    1. That's Ok Bob an easy mistake to make. I thought 7 years was pretty good too, maybe the Trojans will last longer?
