Thanks for joining us on our journey of North America
in our Holiday Rambler, since August 2006
Where are we today ?
Well we did not get much done today again, but sure had fun. Its cold and windy, gusts to 70 kph (43mph) a few branches falling down here and there, stuff blowing around outside but, its not snowing yet. Far from an awesome day (or even amazing day as our friend Larry would say). Hey it could always be worse.
So we make the best of it and surf the net, research a bit and read some blogs. I will let everybody else complain about the weather, we will enjoy the gentle (sometimes violent) rocking of our coach while relaxing and reading our real paper back books. I was gonna go for a swim in our the indoor pool, but a bus load of school kids showed up, maybe another day.
I did come across this picture that I just had to share with you. I doubt it is a real photo, probably doctored up in photoshop, but its still cute. See the silly things we do when we have too much time on our hands.
did you lose something? |
almost sunny right? |
small branches falling down |
our mat keeps blowing away |
a pillow, a book and a blanket, a lawn chair would nice but we are roughing it today |
one of my versions of beef stroganoff |
Now lets see what the rest of the week brings us.
Hope you enjoyed your day as much as we did.
And by the way thanks again for stopping by our house, always nice to have company.
Check out the map below to see where we have been this summer
George I hope you did not throw away you snow shovel. From what I just saw you could be needing it for the next few days. Be Safe and Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt's about time.
I have a short one in the car, but won't need it, I will wait for the snow to melt.
DeleteIt always seems to come as a surprise to me just how "unsettled" the weather can be in Southern Ontario so late into April.
ReplyDeleteI do remember we had a bit of a mess to clean up when we arrived home in the first few days of April in 03. Toronto Airport ended up being closed. As luck would have it, we had come in to Buffalo. This was more due to avoidance of costs, as opposed to any idea that there might be some issue with the weather. The irony was that Buffalo was fine. We had about six inches of snow on our driveway, that then had a one inch layer of ice on top. There hadn't been a chance to clear it off before we arrived, so there was no pulling in so we could get out of the car. We had to trudge up through the snow to the front porch.
I don't think the weather in April has been quite so bad since, but this year it seems to have come pretty close.
It can only get better I suppose.
That's true about out spring weather here, It can always be better, but it can always be worse to, so we enjoy what we have.
DeleteYep, it is definitely still to cold for us to venture back. It better have improved in just over two weeks. Ottawa had snow yesterday!
ReplyDeleteSeeing the picture of the raccoon in the motorhome made me think of our friends Glen and Steve, when they were somewhere in Australia they had a kangaroo jump into their campervan.

The forecast for the next two weeks is constantly warming up, so you should be fine. Already voted.
Delete"A pillow, a book and a blanket", - that's a pretty hard day to beat!!
ReplyDeleteWorks great for this kind of weather!
DeleteCute raccoon picture. We didn't realize they were such good beggars until we saw them in a park along side of the road. They really do learn fast where the food is.
ReplyDeleteYou don't leave garbage our coolers laying around outside, they will find it and make a mess.
DeleteWe like the kick back days
ReplyDeleteYes so nice!
