A cold night with lotsa frost in the morning, but we are comfy here. Computing, coffees, a walkabout then secure our coach to hit the road, glad I put our hoses away last night would have been frozen solid. No big hurry we only have 163 miles to make it home. But we were on our way at 8:15 heading east towards the border, first stop before we cross as close as possible to the border was to fuel up our coach, car and top up our propane tank.

Get as much cheap USA fuel before we cross the border. The coach only took 48 gallons of gas at $3.99 a gallon or $1.11 a litre. That much fuel in Canada is 181 liters at $1.40 a liter we saved $52.49 on this fill up alone!

Only about a 25 minute wait for customs and we breezed right thru. We had about double the allowable alcohol left over, but did not pull us over to pay duty on it, he just said have a good day! That's three years in a row now.
Down the highway for a bit then we can finally get on some nice quiet Ontario back roads heading to Suzie's brothers farm, in New Hamburg just south of Punkeydoodles Corners, yes there really is such a place!

Heading down the laneway just knew we were back in the area.
I filled our fresh water tank by the milk house just before the milk truck arrived to pick up another load of fresh milk.

Here we are parked in our usual spot for a week our two before moving on again.
Once set up Suzie and Sandy took a trip to visit her Gramma for a bit (97 this year), and I ran a few errands . When we were all back home we helped Sandy whip up supper for eight of us tonight, ( Suzie's Mom and Dad, us, niece Stacey and her husband and of course Dennis and Sandy), garlic farmers sausage, baked potatoes, fresh cooked carrots and a tossed salad. Just love the fresh garlic sausage we can get in this area. We have shopped all over the country but this is the only one we really like. Depends what you get used to I guess. I used top served quite a few hundred pounds of garlic sausage in my restaurant years ago.

Now all done for the day we turned on our heater warmed up our house a called it day. Its nice to be back to see our families again and will see most everybody over the weekend.

With such a large family it will take most of the summer to catch up! And with 5 young grand children we have, ball games, soccer games, swimming lesson and birthday parties a fun time.
Mmmm. Garlic Sausages. *drool* In our area, (Burlington/Hamilton) we have a chain of delicatessens called "Denninger's" (started by a fellow by the name of Rudy Denninger) where I can get "Honey Garlic Sausages". They make a lot of their own stuff, and all their sausages are awesome, but the honey garlic are my favourite. You make me want to be "home". Enjoy your stay.
Always a big sigh of relief to get back across that border. I once rolled a rental over on the curve at Punkydoodles corner & spent a couple years riding school buses through there twice a day during the school season. Well Punky my Doodle....how about that:))
It is nice to be around family. It's also nice to be able to head south for the winter. We have the best of both worlds. Enjoy your summer.
