Where are we today ?
A very mild night last night about 45f (6c) so quite warm inside. This morning up bright and early as usual and toasty warm. Sunrise is nice, coffee's, computing and walkabouts excellent. And we have no plans for today, lovin it!
I took a short drive to Forest for the bank machine and stopped by the grocery store for a few items. Then home for a bite to eat for lunch. Soon as we were done, a knock on the door and its our friend Larry. They had just arrived this morning for a few weeks here before heading back to Galvin Bay Resort that we go to as well.
He stopped by for a while and we chatted catching up with our winter travels. Larry and Shirley are fulltimers as well and travel a similar route to us for the winter months. Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and California, and we never seem to cross paths. But we have been meeting up here and Galvin Bay Resort for the last 6 years. Oh we did meet up in Desert Hot Springs California once about three years ago.
nice to see Larry again |
After Justin's visit we headed up the hill to visit with Steve and Barb, fulltimers we also met about ten years ago and visit every winter in Picacho Peak Arizona, Ontario and New York. Here we chatted over a beverage then Al and Sandra (more fulltimers) dropped by to join the group and even a couple more people, looks like we are having a "Happy Hour".
When we got there about 3:00 pm it was about 70f (22c) and very comfortable. By 4:30 pm it was cool, overcast and only 42f (5c). So now its time for us too leave. Too cold to be out here.
Happy hour is getting chilly |
yep the food is fresh and hot |
Yes life is good! Good Friends, good food and pretty good weather, even our health is pretty good too, what more can we ask for?
Thanks again for stopping by.

I'm amazed that you are always consuming food!! Much of it looks so good. I hope the calories aren't catchy through the internet!!
ReplyDeleteDon't tell me that you don' eat? We usually have a late breakfast and an early supper, thats it. I just happen to make it a part of my blog where most people don't.
DeleteI LOVE meals! And yours always look so yummy. Don't feel too sure about that I won't be showing up at your door step one day! With a plate in my hand. :-))
ReplyDeleteShow up anytime, but best to let us know because I usually just portion for two (from my restaurant days), we have lotsa plates.
DeleteLooks like you two have been busy meeting up with other fulltimers. Always nice to get together and swap stories.
ReplyDelete$2.50 for a beer in Ontario, now that's a deal for sure.

Yes its always nice to catchup and swap stories, and go out for a cheap beer too, especially in Canada.
DeleteReading your blog in the morning always makes me hungry! It looks a chilly in Ontario as it has been here on the west coast lately.
ReplyDeleteYes too chilly here. Hungry, like me I don't get hungry until see food, then I have to make it and eat it.
DeleteWow, what a huge drop in temperature in just 90 minutes. Spring, please hurry up!
ReplyDeleteYou got that right and its not warming up too soon either!
DeleteWe got back to Waterloo yesterday and are seeing snow flurries today. Haven't been to Arkona in a few years now.....it was very nice back then.
