Awesome weather, fun day and dinner with new friends!

Where are we today ?
A nice mild night, good for sleeping with the windows open. And still 60 f at 5am, very quite and no wind.
Once the sun came up a nice walkabout the campgrounds this morning and again noticed all the curious deer checking things out. I finally was able to grab a picture of them, not the best but they were far away and kept moving on me.
5 deer watching me, watch them
Just a great day, last one here and very warm weather 85f (29c) just lovin it!! Picked up a few groceries, the puttered around a bit. Check tire pressures, secure our bikes, empty, flush our water tanks and stow the hoses.
notice the school buses down south,
white roof for the hot sun
Now after lunch we can enjoy our books and the scenery for a while. We have some shade to keep cool and so quiet here it is awesome!
Around 3:30 the pelicans appeared in the bay just like that, apparently having a feast of fresh fish.
lotsa pelicans
Trying to read but the wild life is interrupting! You know it really a tough life here.  Birds every where, a Blue Jay right here in the tree.
Then " Charley" our resident squirrel came by again trying to get our attention hoping for some treats. Sorry Charlie no treats, you sure do make it tough to say no.
treats?
Please?
NO?? humph, I go home now then
We had a fantastic warm day here, for our last one and are invited for supper with our neighbors and new friends, Don and Johnnie. BBQ some hamburgers with potatoe salad and baked beans.
Don doing a great job with the burgers

Meet up with Marcia (new full tme rv'er), talked and talked, shared stories and information. Think we could have talked all night!
Awesome dinner guys thanks so much
for the fellowship and great meal.
Thats it for a week here and one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever been in.. Met some great people and had some awesome times. But in the morning we hitting the road heading further north towards colder weather and home. Great memories here.
Thanks for stopping in for a visit and hope y'all come on back.

  4. I love your site so pretty. I am going to miss your little squirrel, what a funny little guy. He looks so much like he is begging. Be careful heading north, big snow storm supposed to hit us here in IN Sunday. 6-9" of snow, and supposed to go on Mon and Tues. Be safe.

  7. Hey, seems we are about to nearly meet in Arkansas. :)) Today, we are heading to Little Rock, AR and further towards Nashville, TN because of the winter storm. We don't dare going north yet. Snow and icy roads predicted for Sunday - Tuesday for Missouri. Safe travel!
