Where are we today ?
Willis Texas
Last night was great for sleeping and today just awesome weather as the sun came out and everything warmed up. Blue skies and temps in the low 70's (22c) . Yep we can handle that for sure. If we stayed out of the breeze it was perfect.
A quick trip to Kroegers for a couple things, just down the road and all is good. Now we can enjoy another great day, walkabouts and lotsa fresh air, love this Texas springtime.
You know about us snowbirds our springtime starts in February and lasts until May, when we get back home, then soon we get summer, again!

Chatted with neighbors Gerry and Brenda for a bit, then Eric dropped in too. Gerry and Brenda are heading to New Orleans in the morning, so a farewell to them (see ya later) and hope to meet up again this summer back home in Ontario.
Telling stories and lies, a bit of a social (Happy) hour then before we know it, the day slipped away and time to fire up our Weber.
For supper tonight I am making "chicken on a stick" , marinated chicken breast (cut into strips) on a bamboo skewer, grilled on our Weber Q-100. Along with that I grilled a tomato with some cheese and spices, very tasty fresh asparagus, added to a rice pilaf and we had a yummy, economical meal for tonight. So easy and quick.

Asparagus on the grill is one my most favorite veggie. Blue skies here in Houston too.
ReplyDeleteAsparagus and blue skies perfect days.
DeleteThe tree looks so pretty against the blue sky! Nice shot....
ReplyDeleteYour suppers always look yummy!
Thanks for stopping by to enjoy.
DeleteSure like those snowbird seasons. Sounded like some nice sitting out weather for reading and your walkabouts. Those grilled tomatoes looked good with the cheese. Going to give your grilled meatloaf idea a try on our grill tonight and will take your advise on holding the sauce til the last few minutes. Enjoy your Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteWas a wonderful day, let me know how you make out with the meatloaf.
DeleteGoing to try shrimp and pineapple on a skewer tomorrow. Should I marinate the shrimp?
ReplyDeleteYou can if you like or just brush then with olive oil and garlic,, don;t need to do much wot the shrimp they will be good!
