Pinery Flea Market and other great day.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
After a great nights sleep a decent 56F at 5 am should be a decent day. So got my first walkabout around the park up the hill and down the road back home, 2 miles to start the day. Felt really good to get out and enjoy some of this cooler weather for a morning walk. Better get used to it the weather is mostly down hill into colourful fall weather from here.
a cloudy start to the day
around the park and back home.
this tree is starting to change colors as well
Now that it is Sunday we can go to the Pinery Flea Market in Grand Bend only open Sundays. Left here around 9 am want to get in and out of there before it gets too busy. Maybe only one or 2 more visits this year, and always something new and different to check out.
this old plane in the parking lot
whats left of a really old tractor
some neat old games here still work
even the puppet show, remember those?
Now walking the market in the bush not as many vendors even less now every weekend.
pretty quiet after labor day
no crowds to deal with is nice
some fall produce now arriving
a couple of empty rows
My Pepperette guy setting up pick up a few more bags.
X hot for me, Hot for Melinda, Mild for Gerry
Then another reason we here is for a couple of these wonderful thin crust pizzas , perfect for the BBQ. One meat lovers and One Brushetta pizza.
these are very good and not too filling
Stopped at the no Frills in Grand Bend up the road  for a few items, then home by 11 am for a light tasty lunch.
Now to relax outside getting back into our page turners again.  A bit later Linda dropped by for a visit and we got our doggie fixes, Suzie in particular and they even came to see me as well. .
she has 2 very nice dogs
Next a new member was walking by with this puppy only 9 weeks old such a beauty, gonna be a big dog his father is 150 pounds!
such a friendly guy he is
We enjoyed more reading and mostly a quiet happy hour then soon time to whip up supper.  Tonight Suzie wanted this Bruschetta pizza that we picked up today, we sampled it before and was so tasty.
this was one pizza we bought at the Pinery market this morning
I preheated our Weber  Q set this pizza on a thin pan on our trivet and 12 minutes later was done to perfection,  So very tasty and not too filling.
quick and easy
this was so tasty and loved the thin crust
done just right I added some
tomato and cucumber in the side
That is about what we did today, a bit more reading outside for a while but is cooling down quickly, 6:30 pm  62 f and getting cooler, so will soon be inside for the evening.
     Thanks for dropping on by.

Where have we been this Summer ?

  1. Nice to walk around the farmers market when it's not to crowded.

  2. Looks like fall weather is already there, Suzi is all bundled up! Pizza looks good, you'll need another Sunday outing to Pinery to replace it.

    1. Suzie is usually bundled up when it is below 75F. The pizza was wonderful , we bought 2 pizzas one in the freezer but we will be going back again for sure.

  3. I guress that rude pilot took up a couple of parking spaces with that jet! :cO

    1. no problem there is quite a few acres of parking here , never been full yet.

  4. Nice to enjoy the cooler temperatures but be ready for more Hot Summer Temps coming your way.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. We will take the warmer weather no problem but it will not hot like we had earlier this summer.

  5. Now that's how I would like to visit a Flea Market free of crowds. Pizza looks pretty good

    1. It is nicer here when not so crowded, yes JO the pizza was excellent.

  6. I think I'm in flea market withdrawal!!!

  7. Sounds like a perfect day! We may head to New Mexico and Arizona this winter. We have two Weber Qs, one for the house and one for the rv. We've never used the one in the rv but you blog posts may have changed that for this year. :)

    1. Love new Mexico and Arizona maybe we can meet up with you guys. As you know I love my Weber Q and use it most every day.It does a wonderful job with most everything.

  8. What wonderful temperatures you are experiencing...I am jealous!
While I enjoy not having to walk through crowds I image the vendors sell less and that can't be good for their bottom line.

Every time I see that you are having pizza I wish I could eat one as well...but my nurse practitioner would not be happy :-(

    1. The temperatures are decent and we are enjoying them while we can. Less vendors now because of less people but we try to keep them going with items we want.
Our Pizza is in moderation so that works for us.

We love it when you take the time to drop us a line.
