Where are we today ?

      After a great nights sleep a decent 56F at 5 am should be a decent day. So got my first walkabout around the park up the hill and down the road back home, 2 miles to start the day. Felt really good to get out and enjoy some of this cooler weather for a morning walk. Better get used to it the weather is mostly down hill into colourful fall weather from here.

         Now that it is Sunday we can go to the Pinery Flea Market in Grand Bend only open Sundays. Left here around 9 am want to get in and out of there before it gets too busy. Maybe only one or 2 more visits this year, and always something new and different to check out.

      Now walking the market in the bush not as many vendors even less now every weekend.

        Then another reason we here is for a couple of these wonderful thin crust pizzas , perfect for the BBQ. One meat lovers and One Brushetta pizza.

     Stopped at the no Frills in Grand Bend up the road  for a few items, then home by 11 am for a light tasty lunch.

     Now to relax outside getting back into our page turners again.  A bit later Linda dropped by for a visit and we got our doggie fixes, Suzie in particular and they even came to see me as well. .

         Next a new member was walking by with this puppy only 9 weeks old such a beauty, gonna be a big dog his father is 150 pounds!

       We enjoyed more reading and mostly a quiet happy hour then soon time to whip up supper.  Tonight Suzie wanted this Bruschetta pizza that we picked up today, we sampled it before and was so tasty.

this was one pizza we bought at the Pinery market this morning 

     I preheated our Weber  Q set this pizza on a thin pan on our trivet and 12 minutes later was done to perfection,  So very tasty and not too filling.

    That is about what we did today, a bit more reading outside for a while but is cooling down quickly, 6:30 pm  62 f and getting cooler, so will soon be inside for the evening.

Another relaxing day, chatting with campers and doggie fixes.

       A bit warmer this morning at 56F then by 9 am  65F a  bit overcast and started to drizzle. Got a short walkabout only a mile to start then headed back with the drizzle beginning. Not much again on the agenda. a few walkabouts, nothing to stress my hand, I am supposed to keep it elevated during the day and have to keep reminding myself, no pain etc so don't think about it.  So taking it easy is the routine. Nice that we are settled here for a couple of weeks with nothing much to worry about.
      Most of the day was sunny and a comfortable 74F so we enjoyed that. A few more walkabouts, chat with some people here and there just enjoying the quiet weekend, after the long weekend crowds that we missed.

   Then I thought I would get our pie iron out and make use of it, Normally for a campfire but does work on our Weber gonna make some apple pies, it has been a lot of year's since I did that.

So many things you can make in this

      2  slices of bread , fill with apple pie filling (or anything you like) On the fire or BBQ until toasted and warmed through . Turn over a couple of times.

       A bit later Walt dropped by to say hi (he did the flooring in our coach) he was working on a job in the park, was nice that he did stop by.
      Shortly after 3 pm we enjoyed Happy hour then Joe and Choco stopped by to join us. Of course Choc knows the drill , gets treats from Suzie

      Then he decided he wanted to jump on my lap, and lick me all over, lol He would not stop, got me laughing like crazy and he licked some more.

      Then another visit with Paul, (AJ's father) have not seen him for a while, Love to chat and catch up with him as well.  Then soon was time to whip up supper. Tonight a couple of pan fried pollock fillets on our Weber Q to go with out  usual tasty salad.

    That was our fun relaxing day we both enjoyed now to enjoy another warm evening outside  until soon head inside a it cools down.
