Another good sleep and up at 5 am 53F very nice. Got the coffee etc taken care of then a walkabout the parking lot and the store checking out a few things. Then back home for another coffee, and back to Walmart to fill our jug of RO drinking water, picked up a few groceries, and back home again. We secured the coach checked tires and lights, then on the road at 8 am no real rush only 278 miles was our plan but changing another time zone, so will loose an hour.Hopped on I 70, and I 74 smooth sailing all the way no wind, no rain, no heavy traffic, no tornadoes a perfect travel day. Made our way across Illinois, and into Indiana welcome centre where we stopped, got some nice walking and leg stretching done, made a bite to eat for lunch. Then after 30 minutes or so back on the road.
a nice welcome centre time to stop and make lunch |

Where have we been this Winter?
Well I hope you have better luck there this year! It is nice when you are back in the same time zone as home. We are lucky that Arizona doesn't do daylight savings time, as long as we leave Arizona after the time springs ahead at home we don't have to deal with a time change.
ReplyDeleteSo far so good nice quiet night. here. We have 3 time changes every year going each way every year, nice to be back in our local time zone though.
DeleteAnother nice travel day under your belts. Stay safe and hope no problems during the early morning hours.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very good travel day, and a nice relaxing evening as well., so far too good here nice and quiet.
DeleteI do not know if you know blogger Billy Bob of Billy Bob's Travels but I remember he got a ticket for parking at Flying J in Texas a few years back. Good to know that is no longer the case.
ReplyDeleteMay you get a good night's rest and have safe travels.
Yes I know Billy Bob I remember when he git that ticket way back when. The Flying J's we park at actually have RV parking now. I was just chatting with Bill Bob the other day on Facebook. Seems to be doing fine as can be.
DeleteAlways nice when the travel day is nice.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels,
Bob

ReplyDeleteGeorge I remember you got that scratch repair done in Ontario near where you stay.
ReplyDeleteWhat body shop did you use? I remember reading post about it last year and you were pleased with the work done at the shop... but cannot find it again. I have a scratch much like that that I need repaired on our coach.
That posting was June 14th 2018, and this is the Link to Barry's Website Shakespeare Ontario. https://kropfskustom.com hope that helps he does awesome work.
DeleteYes Thank You!
DeleteAh...your getting closer to home, and it seems like your still in half decent weather. That scoop under the trailer is a Smart Truck Advanced Aero System. It is supposed to reduce the drag, thus increasing the fuel efficiency.
ReplyDeleteYes Peter we are getting closer will be home next week. Thanks for the info about that stoup kinda made me wonder.
DeleteI love the name Spiceland! Too cute. Hard to believe you'll be crossing the border, seems like you just left Canada for the winter trek. Time goes so fast nowadays and you two just enjoy every one! Glad Peter knows what that scoop looking thing is! Looks like a yummy dinner and nice place to spend the night! Travel safely you two :)
ReplyDeleteSpiceland is a cool name , this is always a convenient spot for us to stop for the night as well. Nice o know about that stoup kinda neat. Dinner was very tasty thanks.
DeleteWe love Flying J, not just for the parking but the RV fueling lanes. They get our business whenever we can, which is most of the time. You could say we travel from FJ to FJ. :c)
ReplyDeleteWe love the rv fuelling lanes and like you we actually use their riot planner they have on their website so we know about fuel lanes and parking.
DeleteI hope you had no incidents last night. Looks like a good place to overnight. Nice to have a quiet truck overnight beside you. Safe travels today.
ReplyDeleteNo incidents and a nice quiet truck beds us on a mile night. Today another good travel day.

DeleteLooks like you are making good time, keep on rolling!
ReplyDeleteWe are making good time, t=no real for a few day here in Ohio enjoying this weather.
DeleteWe usually take that route when we travel to western Pennsylvania to visit family and old friends. It is about the same distance across Texas east to west as it is from Texas to western PA.
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice route but the roads this year are really rough. Bad, actually..
DeleteAlmost welcome home!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stew we getting there soon.
