A very nice quiet sleep again here and 53F at 5 am looks like another decent day. We have enjoyed this membership campground (only $10. a night with full hookups) many times over the years and love seeing the improvements they are making. Our last stop before crossing the border back home in a few days.Got a nice walkabout this morning enjoying the quiet times and mild weather. checking out the scenery and watching all the families packing up this morning heading back home to school and work.
first bit of sunrise walking across the creek |
not a lot of water right now, have seen it very full |
they are adding more park models here, probably more rentals |
we have camped back here quite a few years ago really liked it but not open yet |
They do have lotsa cabins here to rent |
even more sunrise kinda neat |
these trikes on the water would be fun in the summer |
Canada geese hanging out here as well waiting to head north soon |
they have done an awesome job on this mini golf watching them build it over a couple of years |
Just puttered around for a while reheated our left over pizza in the fry pan for lunch. Then a quick trip up the road to Aldi's another grocery store I like to check out when in the area. Picked up a few rare items then home to relax for the afternoon. Still over cast a bit but a very comfortable 72F , yup this is good. Well it was good reading outside until 1:30 pm then it started to sprinkle. Ok back inside then for now. Then 10 minutes later back outside, then a bit more sprinkles and back out for the rest of the afternoon. A few more walkabouts (just over 3 miles today) reading fo a while, Then about 4:30 started to sprinkle again. No problem inside to whip up supper.
this was yesterday afternoon |
Sunday afternoon. most people gone now |
Because of the rainy forecast this afternoon I planned on a tasty inside meal. Some leftover chicken, fried with some mushrooms, onion and garlic, added to pasta sauce with basil and stirred in some cooked spaghetti. Added a small salad and some garlic bread with cheese (made from hot dog buns we had) And of course a glass of wine, just because we had some open.
what a tasty treat for tonight's supper. |
Want to thank y'all for stopping by and hope you had a decent spring day as well.

Where have we been this Winter?
Your wife is a very lucky woman!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about her we do have a wonderful relationship. And I love to cook.
DeleteTotally agree. Oh to have a Chef!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I have fun in the kitchen and we both like to eat.
DeleteEnjoy your stay in Wapa, I know you're watching the weather. Fran moved Billy to our home in Kettering today. He's doing good, but she misses the family there. We just might have to stop at your park - looks great! Do they allow non-members? We've stayed around the corner at KOA a couple times ... it's a KOA!
ReplyDeleteGlad Billy is doing good Fran can visit with here family while here can't she? This park is members only but first time visitors can have 3 days 2 nights free you have to book that on line. The KOA in expensive. I sent you and email.
DeleteCute park models. I would give those trikes a try, might be fun for a while. I think that the geese are holding back. We only have three here thus far.
ReplyDeleteThe trikes would be fun but I think warmer weather would be nice because you would probably get wet. The geese are smart. we holding back too as long as possible.
DeleteNice park models but they wouldn't be good for you because they have no wheels.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy being close to home.
It's about time.
The new park models actually do have wheels, the wood cabins don't but have much more space than we need,
DeleteReally nice park. Little mini golf course is so well maintained. All those little rentals are great.
ReplyDeleteIt is a very nice park and is open year rounds and so many rentals as well.
DeleteI really like those tiny houses for rent. I do not think I have ever seen trikes like those in the picture before. I have to agree your wife is a lucky lady having a live-in chef.
ReplyDeleteThey rent quite a few if these all the time, a busy park, The trick are kinda cool would be fun. I am lucky cause she does the bookkeeping and dishes we are a team and heck I love to cook.
DeleteArrowhead Lakes Resort is a nice stopover for a few nights. I think it would be even nicer in May and June. I'd definitely want to try the trikes out! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time there before the last hop home.
It is a nice park and love the area as well. The place would be VERY busy in the summer. The trikes would be fun.
DeleteWe had the same weather but an inside day is good from time to time. I think rain today too but who knows for sure. I'd like to try out the trikes, they look fun. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWe like to be outside and enjoy the fresh air as much as possible, but inside is good as well. The trikes would be fun I am sure, set up for 2 people. Suppose ti rain this afternoon bt no matter is nit cold.
DeleteYou guys enjoy your time there as well.
Always good to see campgrounds making improvements.
ReplyDeleteYes it is noice to see things being improved and upgraded.
DeleteThose trikes do look like they would be fun! (when it is warmer)
ReplyDeleteIt will be getting much warmer in a month or so for the summer. Only in the 60's right now water will be cold.
DeleteBeautiful sunrise picture! What a difference from the one picture to the other of people in the campground! The mini golf and water bikes look like so much fun! Looks like such a nice park! Dinner looks absolutely amazing! YUM!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys we do enjoy this park and hope to make us of a few things is the weather co operates.
DeleteThat park looks really nice, I can see why you enjoy it so much. They did a great job with that putt-puut course and it looks very well maintained. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit drier weather.
ReplyDeleteit is s wonderful membership park we enjoy on our travels;, the put put has taken 2 years to make and look this good, Weather todays was excellent tomorrow even better.
