Wrapping up our last day here and a huge pot of Shrimp gumbo.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Up at 5 am and 46 F outside with the almost full moon lighting up outside almost like day time. Got a nice early walkabout , enjoying the peacefulness here on a brisk morning. Just not a shorts day , thats for sure.
pretty quiet back here
looks like it could be a nice day
But it is another good soup day, so I started at 7 am. Today I am gonna make a pot of Bubba's Shrimp Gumbo an awesome soup mix that Loree Font had gifted us, for Suzie's birthday last week. Just followed the directions sauteed 1 lb of garlic sausage, one chopped onion, add the mix with 8 cups of water, then 1 chopped a green pepper, and 28 oz can of diced tomatoes, then 300 grams (12) jumbo raw shrimp, cut in half. Total cooking time about 2 hours, the aroma in the coach on this cool morning was awesome! Plus the extra heat was welcome as well.
12 jumbo shrimp cleaned and I cut in half for the gumbo
now we are ready for a feast
this was excellent sure will do it again
After lunch Suzie sorted the laundry including the sheets so into town to get everything all nice and clean again. While I was gone she cleaned our coach inside , mopping the floors and looks so sparkling clean again to head on out of here. While the laundromat did the work on the clothes I enjoyed my e-reader.  All washed and dried in 70 minutes, I folded some things and brought it home while she put everything away until the next time.
While she did that I stored our Weber Q, checked tires and oil on the coach, emptied and flushed our tanks just in time for Happy Hour at 3 pm with Tucker and Choco, they brought Gerry and Melinda along. Then  Gail and Haylie joined us. Too share some stories, Loree stopped by on her way home for a sample of this amazing Shrimp Gumbo. I made this morning that she gifted us. I had to make it before we left so she could try it. About that time we are wrapping up getting ready for supper, Paul joined us for a few minutes as well. Nice that we got to say so long to these guys until we meet again.
Gerry and Tucker
Tucker always glad to see Suzie, has to give her a kiss
this be a good-bye kiss, until we see him next year
Choco wants a treat
wait
ok now
everyone happy for Happy hour
it was cooling down, the sun in the clouds
so about 4:30 time headed back home and inside for supper
Tonight a couple of Pasties with our salad on the side,
love these pasties
meat, veggies, potatoes in a tasty pastry
this is a Pastie
a little gravy really makes them much better
Outside for a while after supper to finish this posting but by 7:45 it was getting pretty chilly (fingers getting cold) so inside we go wrap this up , get warmed up and relax for the evening.
Read a bit more then watch a movie for a bit on TV.
Glad that you dropped on by and hope you enjoyed your day as well. We outta here in the morning, time to make these wheels turn, visit with some family and watch a grandson play in a hockey tournament.
