        Was a great sleep we had here now in Calfornia.  Much warmer overnight now about 50 F at 4 am when I woke up. I got my coffee and computing done and waiting a  bit for Suzie to get up finaly   at 6 am. Then I  headed out to the Home Depot in Yuma AZ. I have the plan in my head what I need to do to secure my chair properly.  And knew I could get what I wanted there. A piece of 1/2 inch plywood 28 X 28 inches  to bolt the the floor, The scrap from that part sheet I borrowed a skill saw from head maintenance here  Joe, who we have known for years. Drilled some holes  added the extra pieces to give me the 1 inch height around the edge to fasten the legs. And with our good friend  Rob here helping me a bit and the loan of his cordless drill driver, (mine has died) Got er done. Only problem with all the million screws I have on board for these projects I don't have the right length I need to secure the legs.  No problem I will pick some up maybe tomorrow, then we good to go.
    I will put the finishing touches on to make it look pretty (Suzie's request), With the extra flooring we have stored back home in the spring.

    Got to the Home Depot, nice that they open at 5 am. Found what we needed and the helpful staff cut  it to size for me. Now fits in the car.

         Back home and with the saw I borrowed, we got things taken care of.

     Now we almost good to go. At least the chair is secured .

     After a light tasty lunch I can clean up my mess, put tools away and relax under our awning on an  amazing hot California sunny afternoon. In the shade afternoon temps got to 80F and is what we are here for.

      After a very nice afternoon enjoying our page turners and puttering around we were invited to Bill and Patsy's for happy hour at 3:30 so we joined our friends and flapped our gums for a while sharing stories, solving the worlds problems and telling lies, Heck this is what do.Always having fun when we get together.

            And the rest of us here had a fun time.

      Close to 5 pm, time for supper so we all headed on home. I whipped up our tasty salad to go with some boneless, skinless chicken thighs, And while I did that we got to enjoy another desert sunset.

          Another great day we enjoyed, getting things done, happy hour with friends and a yummy supper, enjoying some amazing December weather. Yup we do love this lifestyle, can you tell?

 Where have we been this Winter?

Last day here, laundry done and amazing weather.

Where are we today ?

      Another cool quiet night for sleeping about 42F at 4 am. Got my computing and coffees done and when the sunrose headed for a nice morning walkabout watching the sunrise over the mountains to the east of us. 2 miles done by 8 am. Feeling good I am.

             On one of my walkabouts I enjoyed this desert garden here that the volunteers here have been working on they are doing a wonderful job  as they do here every year.

             Shortly after 9 am  Suzie had the laundry sorted and I took them to the laundry here in the park. A nice clean room they have 5 washers, 2 dryers and clotheslines with clothes pins. I got the machines I needed and washed. Only one drier empty and the other only 20 minutes left. Most people here have their own clotheslines and in no time they will dry in this dry desert climate, sunshine and a slight breeze. The clothes lines here were full at the moment so I just read my page turner and enjoyed this wonderful weather.
       Laundry all done and back home before 11 am. I made a light lunch and Suzie put the laundry all away. Team work is a great thing. Also while I was doing laundry Suzie dusted the coach inside and washed the floors.

         Now our afternoon is free, to putter around some more reading in the shade of our awning, Checked tires etc, getting ready to head out in the morning

        Back home now relaxing under our awning . It is a hot day got to 78F in the shade and very hot in the sun, So some shade we need.

        Next book was this one below, I do have a lot of choices, and a change is as good as a rest. I do enjoy her books a well.

         A new neighbour stopped in for some help with his water pump. He has a new to him older rv, After checking everything out my suggestion was he needs a new water pump. It is just not pumping water at all,

       Next it was time to whip up supper , Quick and easy one tonight. A shrimp burger for Suzie and a chorizo burger for me I made some burgers from the fresh store made chorizo that they have at Olson's in AJO.

    Another amazing desert day her in the southwest. actually pretty hot in the shade 76 F and much warmer in the sun that we try to avoid. No matter, not cold , not humid and not raining. Yup we loving it !

Sunshine , warm weather, what more can we hope for?

          Another wonderful desert night's sleep ending with a great morning sunrise on my walkabout. Full sun clear blue skies and next to no wind. It feels so good to be here.

         Then I made a quick trip to Olson's IGA in Ajo just for a few veggies, and home by shortly after 9am.

       Got home and deployed our awning for some shade from this intense sun. Then made a favourite for Suzie's for lunch, when I had the restaurant, most Saturday mornings she enjoyed this western  or a clubhouse sandwich. Hmm I have not made that for a while either. We have not had this for quite a while. Toasted western with cheese. Easy and quick 2 eggs, chopped ham and onion then melt some cheese once it is set then fold over twice , oh yummy.

           I noticed this morning our batteries got a full charge by 10 , so all is good in that department.
           After lunch I took a drive down the road to a BLM places we have stayed at before Gunsight Wash. A great place to stay and is free for 14 days. Noticed no host there this year and not many people camping either. Pretty well wide open and so many wonderful boon docking spots to enjoy.

         Back home to relax in shade and enjoy this wonderful sunny day. With Suzie, enjoying our reading. I read for a bit walk around a bit, read some more putter around, topped up our batteries, gotta keep moving . Needed up with almost 4 miles done today.

          Supper tonight is to pan fry a couple of catfish fillets on our cast iron pan heated on our Weber Q.

        The catfish turned out wonderful to go along with our tasty salad.

      Hey we had another wonderful  day enjoying this amazing December weather, outside enjoying the fresh air , sunshine and in shorts most of the day, What's not to love about that?

      A good nights sleep and up early as usual. It was 40F outside at 4 am so turning on our blue flame heater we quickly got warmed up. At 7 am daylight was arriving so got outside for my first walkabout exploring more roads and trails around the large campground. Got 3 miles in today and feels good.
      Wandering new roads , so nice to see different scenery every day and this amazing desert vistas. Clear blue skies and with the sun rising temperatures rising quickly.

      I carried on walking on a new road and so peaceful , like being all by myself.

    Then checked out the clubhouse, always a puzzle on the go (Patsy) and so many more there to do as well.

            The library here is HUGE exchange books, below is only a pert on it.

      Back home at 10 am noticed our solar was charging at 4.2 amps in full sun. Ok with the lower level  of the sun at this time of year, guess I will tilt our one panel . Up on the roof and tilted then checked we are  charging at 11.5 amps. Yahoo that is much better. By noon we are at a full charge.

      After a light lunch we enjoyed our page turners for a while in the shade of our awning. I did get a new haircut as well, perfect hot weather for it, Suzie does an amazing job.
      Then at about 2 pm we decided on the very hot day think we need an ice cream. Why not? So over to the Why Not store and picked up a couple of treats for us, Perfect on a hot sunny winter day.

      Soon it was time for supper, another treat for us, Beef liver, with Bacon. onions. fried potatoes, and heat up a can of creamed corn, all done one our weber Q

        Suzie is the lover of creamed corn so I had a bit and she enjoyed the rest. The liver, Bacon and onions, fried potatoes  we're excellent as always
