Enjoying this sunshine and warmer weather .

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
A bit warmer last night but still cool enough for a really good sleep. This morning about 8 am I took a nice country drive around some back roads and home again , just because I can.
Sandy made this wonderful crocheted blanket for Suzie  while she is recovering from her operation ,  Suzie picked the colours and really loves it so nice a warm.
yup she is loving this new blanket
Back home I noticed that they are doing a bit of paving down the road here. Just the edges for now I went to the end of the lane to see how they actually do it. Kinda cool. a dump truck with asphalt slowly dumps a small bit of asphalt  going down the road, then a road grader spreads it from the centre the the edge. One fellow makes the edges straight and a small roller behind packs it down. Making the road much nicer. It was originally tar and chips a few years ago.
Then at 11 am Suzie went to pick up her Dad to take him for a Doctor's appointment in Waterloo. While she was gone I set to work to back up yet another year on this  tiny SD card. Now have 3 full years of pictures in their 128 GB card and still 95 GB of space left. Wow liking this tiny storage device. Of course they are backed up on my external drive as well and will keep them on my old Mac Book pro. A lot pf pictures I have taken in the last 12 years plus.
this tiny card sure holds a lot of data
this works wonderful , really like it
Sandy asked if I wanted to go on a road trip with her to New Hamburg and Baden for a few errands. First time since her operation to drive and  she wanted me along just in case she felt she could not drive. Well she passed the test with flying colours. She still has a few more weeks of recovery to go.
The weather turned out pretty nice today, sunshine and much warmer in the low 70's. We got back shortly before Suzie and I stored our Weber Q, checked tire pressures. Getting ready to head on out in the morning back to Rock Glen for a few weeks. Suzie vacuumed the house for Sandy as well , just because she could. Help them out while we  are here.
Now I actually got back into my e-reader outside enjoying this wonderful warm sunny day, in the shade.
Shorty after 4:30  Sandy was on a walkabout and joined us for a nice chat,, (Happy Hour) Nice to catch up with these guys when we can enjoying this nice warm day. A bit later Suzie's brother Dennis was home from chores and joined us for a bit too.
Supper tonight did not happen. Dennis was out doing things , Sandy had a later afternoon lunch, Suzie had a lunch out with her dad  and I was still fed up from last nights feast.
So a bit later Suzie and I will share some popcorn and an apple, when we head inside.
Reading outside for a while and working on this posting then at 7:30 I hopped in the car and down the road to catch a late sunset.  Last one from here  for a while.
the best I coold get tonight, better than nothing
That was our fun day enjoying this nicer weather, now time to kick back and enjoy a movie tonight with some popcorn and share an apple, my supper today.
       Thanks for stopping on by.

  1. Nice to see tax dollars being well spent on roads.
Suzie looks so comfy with her new blankie. We have a couple of those very similar. A great reason to have a nap I say.
Isn't it amazing the storage on such small devices. Remember when a 1 GB hard drive was more than anyone could possibly fill?

  2. The blanket looks comfy!, and matches the RV colors. My mom crocheted one for our wedding some 40 years ago, it's still in use. Hope yours holds up as well, it is indeed a labor of love!

    1. Thanks JO if you kept all those blankets you made over the years what would you do with them all? A nice hobby to have.
They do last a long time much better than any store bought blankets.

  5. Love the blanket, Suzie. I have one in the bunky that Mom made years ago and I just 'inherited' it recently. It will go with us when we head south. :)
Did I miss something? What happened to Suzie's arm?

    1. With the high taxes here in Canada they should be repairing the roads. These blankets do last a very long time.
My SD cards are all SanDisk as well they work great.
