Up nice and early this morning as usual and a damp foggy morning. Got a nice walkabout down the road and back  for a bout a mile. Still foggy at 9 am so no rush to get going.
yes it was foggy
kind of erie looking
but a nice walk down the road
Finally all secured and ready to hit the road shortly after 9:30 this morning. Sandy came out to thank us and wish is safe travels today. Now we enjoying the quiet back roads for about 90 minutes to Rock Glen resort. On the way stopped to top up our propane still .63.9 cents a litre.
Arrived at Rock Glen (our home membership park). No over night fees for full hookups, gotta love it! The roads going in are closed but we did make it to the campground before noon. Checked in and set up on our favourite site again for a couple of weeks.
Shortly after we arrived Joe and Nellie stopped by to say Hi walking Tucker and Choco. As usual Tucker was excited to see Suzie again.
Then we got to enjoy  very nice afternoon outside in the shade enjoying our e-readers until time for Happy Hour.
3 Pm arrived and Happy hour is this time.  Joe and Nellie stopped by again to chat with us and catch up again, telling us of their travels. They have been busy.
Tucker right on his chair for a treat
even Choco gets one as well
Tucker is a good boy, waits until Suzie says ok
and Choco looking at me, saying where is my treat.
Nellie and Joe
A bit later Gerry showed up with Melinda not far behind. Tucker was Happy to see Gerry again.
Hey Dad you came back !
now we chatted , got caught up and had a few laughs
always fun happy hours with  our friends
When every one headed home I whipped up a salad, preheated our Weber Q to grill a couple of boneless pork chops on our grill mat. Not too long don't want to dry them out.
The grill mat does a nice job, moist tender and grill marks too
does not stick and easy cleanup
moist tender pork chop and a tasty salad
After supper we outside for a while working on this posting until about 7:30  then getting chilly, so inside to wrap it up and called it an night. After a very nice warm almost fall day that we both enjoyed outside , shorts and t-shirts was the dress code today .
Thanks once again for stopping on by and hope y'all had a great day as well.

Enjoying this sunshine and warmer weather .

Where are we today ?

A bit warmer last night but still cool enough for a really good sleep. This morning about 8 am I took a nice country drive around some back roads and home again , just because I can.
Sandy made this wonderful crocheted blanket for Suzie  while she is recovering from her operation ,  Suzie picked the colours and really loves it so nice a warm.
yup she is loving this new blanket
Back home I noticed that they are doing a bit of paving down the road here. Just the edges for now I went to the end of the lane to see how they actually do it. Kinda cool. a dump truck with asphalt slowly dumps a small bit of asphalt  going down the road, then a road grader spreads it from the centre the the edge. One fellow makes the edges straight and a small roller behind packs it down. Making the road much nicer. It was originally tar and chips a few years ago.
Then at 11 am Suzie went to pick up her Dad to take him for a Doctor's appointment in Waterloo. While she was gone I set to work to back up yet another year on this  tiny SD card. Now have 3 full years of pictures in their 128 GB card and still 95 GB of space left. Wow liking this tiny storage device. Of course they are backed up on my external drive as well and will keep them on my old Mac Book pro. A lot pf pictures I have taken in the last 12 years plus.
this tiny card sure holds a lot of data
this works wonderful , really like it
Sandy asked if I wanted to go on a road trip with her to New Hamburg and Baden for a few errands. First time since her operation to drive and  she wanted me along just in case she felt she could not drive. Well she passed the test with flying colours. She still has a few more weeks of recovery to go.
The weather turned out pretty nice today, sunshine and much warmer in the low 70's. We got back shortly before Suzie and I stored our Weber Q, checked tire pressures. Getting ready to head on out in the morning back to Rock Glen for a few weeks. Suzie vacuumed the house for Sandy as well , just because she could. Help them out while we  are here.
Now I actually got back into my e-reader outside enjoying this wonderful warm sunny day, in the shade.
Shorty after 4:30  Sandy was on a walkabout and joined us for a nice chat,, (Happy Hour) Nice to catch up with these guys when we can enjoying this nice warm day. A bit later Suzie's brother Dennis was home from chores and joined us for a bit too.
Supper tonight did not happen. Dennis was out doing things , Sandy had a later afternoon lunch, Suzie had a lunch out with her dad  and I was still fed up from last nights feast.
So a bit later Suzie and I will share some popcorn and an apple, when we head inside.
Reading outside for a while and working on this posting then at 7:30 I hopped in the car and down the road to catch a late sunset.  Last one from here  for a while.
the best I coold get tonight, better than nothing
That was our fun day enjoying this nicer weather, now time to kick back and enjoy a movie tonight with some popcorn and share an apple, my supper today.
       Thanks for stopping on by.
