Happy Birthday Ma, on a rainy friday of the Canada Day Long weekend.

Where are we today ?
          Happy Birthday Ma!
Yep today you 86 years old
and  doing so well!

After morning coffees here I hopped in the car to go visit ma for her Birthday. Stopped by Tim Hortons and picked up a couple coffees and a muffin to take for a visit. Then took Ma to Canadian tire and the bank to pick up a few things, and had a nice visit with her.
Now back to Plattsville, make us a bite for lunch and hopped on the grass machine to begin mowing, get ready for the Canada Party tomorrow, with my rain poncho on.
Got about three acres of grass mowed in about three hours. Humph... pouring rain most of the time but still needs to be done, maybe get the last acre done tomorrow morning way out back.
Being rv'ers we have the rain gear, so poncho on, rain hat and away I go. Suzie she did the poncho thing too and planted a mess of flowers on the front gardens for our hosts.
the job needs to be done
Suzie and I getting cleaned up
Then late afternoon John's Sister Suzie and Randy pulled in with their trailer and got set up right next to us. They are from Manitoba Canada and planned this as one of their stops (good choice for a long weekend).
Randy and Suzie are here
we comfy here with a nice campsite
Molly needs to be petted
now on their deck for "Happy Hour"
and tell lotsa lies, we  do.
But then its still raining so we headed home to fire up our Weber Q, grill a couple pork chops, finish off our potato salad, steamed bocoli and tomato slices. We have had chicken for a few days, now start into the pork for a few days too. Pig roast tomorrow!
tender juicy chops for a tasty supper
Now a busy rainy day but still nice and warm so not a big deal, we are ready for the Canada Day party, rain or shine. But just heard the live band has cancelled. Playing in the rain with electrical instruments is really not a healthy thing, and the ground here is really, really wet right now.
The picture below was Fairview mall parking lot this afternoon on Kitchener, some major flooding there today.
glad we weren't there
No matter they have two 100 pound pigs to roast and lots of food, fireworks paid for and the pool is open and warm, gonna have a party anyway.
Wanna thank ya'll for stopping into see how we are, hope you had an awesome day too!

  2. I'm so happy that you still have your mom and that she's alive and well. Even though it's rainy, you see to be surrounded a good food, good friends, and a faithful dog. What more could one ask for? Enjoy your holiday! :-)

  7. Happy Birthday to your Ma, George. Bound to be a great party with those 2 pigs. One question: how are you going to get 2 pigs on your Weber Q 100?
