Where are we today ?
Well we had a fantastic visit with our friends Marc and Erin in Destin Florida, such great hosts. Relaxing, fun, great conversations and awesome meals. As you saw on previous postings Marc loves to cook.
Shortly after 9 am we gradually packed up our stuff and all our food that was was rescued in their fridge and freezer. Said our goodbyes and see y'all later. Headed west to Camping World in Gulf Breeze Florida to pick up our rig with a new fridge!!
Checked everything out and looks good. Not the same fridge but it is the same size and it is brand new, (2 year warranty). Different front panels than before but works for us. They actually had to remove our living room window to get the old fridge out and install the new one. When they built this coach, everything was installed, then they built the rest around it.
The bill was paid (ouch!) and we put the critical stuff back in the fridge and freezer and hit the road to our destination for the day. A total distance of 170 miles.

All set up then relaxed for a bit before heating up some of Marc's leftover Turkey, sweet leek pie for supper. Couple cornmeal muffins and we are ready to really put our feet up.
It was so nice to visit with friends while on the road and they really took care of us, feeding us too well. But hey, we had and awesome time. The weather was not the best but can't have everything, this was a last minute decision and worked out just wonderful.
Wanna thank you for stopping by and sharing our fun times with us, hope y'all had a great day too.

Love the new fridge. Looks like it might have a bit more space.....
ReplyDeleteThink it is about the same size
DeleteThe new refrigerator is looking great, glad you are back up and running.
ReplyDeleteYes it is nice to have our house back for sure.
DeleteThat is a very familiar new fridge you have there...identicle to ours. (Which works very well). You are starting to pile on the miles this year! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSeems to work pretty good so far, certainly better than the old one. We are actually doing a lot less miles this year than most.
DeleteAlways fun to get new stuff, even though maybe not so much fun to pay for it. But 14 years, can't complain.
ReplyDeleteI'm never thrilled to see Canada geese. The closest I've seen them to here was up in the UK last spring. Was careful where I walked.
Yes you do have to be careful where you walk, but did manage to get them to move away!
DeleteThe refrigerator looks great in your rig. At least you'll have peace of mind with it for another 14 years .. we hope.
ReplyDeleteWe can only hope!
DeleteThose RV fridges have a tendency to quit working and then it gets very expensive. Every year we have several people out here with similar problems. Glad you got a new one. You comin' over here soon?
ReplyDeleteYes the new should do us for a while.
DeleteWe have decided that with all the touring we have done this year and expense of the new fridge. We will just hang out in this area, checking out different places we have not been to yet. But sure do miss the BLM land and hot springs.
Nice to get the new fridge in and working. I've heard about having to take out a window to get the fridge in. Sounds weird, but whatever works.
ReplyDeleteThe fridge is wider than the dorr so gotta do it!
