Where are we today ?
On the Road to Ontario
Ok call us crazy kids but we have a plan. We have been hanging out in this area just waiting for the right moment to make a quick trip back to Ontario. Why? Because we can and Suzie's father is celebrating his 80th birthday on Saturday afternoon with a huge open house at the church.
We checked flights and all that but with the costs, connecting flights, car rental and travel times it was much more convenient to just hop in the car and drive there. We plan on being there for just four nights then head back here, to much warmer weather, hopefully.
So early this morning hop in the car and head out. Packed a lunch, suitcases and a cooler then away we go, should be at the farm Thursday late afternoon (3:41 pm if all goes well) we will have a stop somewhere around Cincinnati Ohio for the night. Hey its only 1,143 miles, piece of cake right?
Got my back tuned up for the drive even have a Chiropractor appointment made in Waterloo for friday morning.
1,143 mi, (1840 kms) |
So you can wish us luck and safe travels if you like, we gonna have fun no matter what.
And drop back in to see how we are making out, try to keep posting when we get a chance.
Check out the map below to see where we have been this winter

Safe trip
ReplyDeleteTotally doable. After our one and only trip to Florida back in the last century, we were sufficiently rested up such that, rather than stop for the night, we just kept driving until we got back to Ontario. This was from Sanibel island. I don't remember the total time involved, and I was a bit younger, so I'm not sure I'd do it again.
ReplyDeleteNot a problem just driving in the daylight thou.
DeleteOk call us crazy...

Thanks, at least you can recognize that!
DeleteBe safe. Remember driving a car is a lot different from traveling in your RV.

Whats a PDD?
DeleteYou chose your current lifestyle to be free to come and go when you want and where you want. This is one of those times. It's important to remember that when family is involved. You're doing the right thing. Have a good trip!! It's the memories!!
DeleteYes every day is awesome memories.
