Where are we today ?
What did we do today? Kinda just relax some more. Walkabouts the resort, compute, coffees and say goodbye to our friends Emile and Monique, they are heading to one of their timeshares for a week. But they will be back when we return, so we will get together again for a bit.Got my email update from our Good Sam membership and attached was a recap of the Rally we attended at Daytona Speedway about a month ago and just thought I would share it with y'all.
Here is a flashback to the Good Sam Rally we enjoyed at Daytona Speedway Nov 2nd- 4th, 2012. Actually we were there from Oct 31st to Nov. 5th. camped on the infield of the racetrack (no racing going on thou, now that would have been awesomer !)
After lunch I puttered around a bit, hand washed some of our coach, (got rid of some pesky bugs that commit suicide on the front). Relocated our satellite radio from the coach to the car for a road trip we have planned in the near future (tell ya about that later). Did some maintenance on our generator, new gas and air filter. Then we had the rest of the day free to enjoy our books in the sun and shade, its been a while since we have been able to be totally lazy, and was awesome.
Then time to fire up our Weber, throw on a couple baked potatoes, grill half a chicken, add that to a tossed salad, potato bun and we have a feast! Well at least we have a tasty supper.

That's it for today we can do not much and the day just zips right by us anyway, but hey the weather is awesome and thats why we are here. Much better than that cold white fluffy stuff up north.
Would like to thank y'all for dropping in for another peak, hope you had a great day too.
Check out the map below to see where we have been this winter

Looks like a great day, those fuel filters are not easy to install!
ReplyDeleteActually pretty easy on our genny right up front and center.
DeleteAnother relaxing day! Sounds like you're learning how to do that the right way.
ReplyDeleteYep we can do it thats for sure.
DeleteFluffy white stuff got all washed away by the rain, now we have pea-soup fog!
ReplyDeleteLou
Got some of that fog here, no white fluffy stiff thou is a good thing.
DeleteNOw if we could only figure out how to slow those hours from passing too quickly.
ReplyDeleteYep now that would be nice for sure!
DeleteI was reading your last post before this one and you had been to Lamberts to eat. I am from Sikston, MO where Lamberts originated. more than 50 years ago they were in an old building and it was crammed with old metal dinnette sets. Before fire codes I guess. When people were all seated you could not walk in there, so they started throwing the rolls at you. We ate there alot when I was growing up. Still do when I get up that way. Great food, great atmosphere. I am new to you blog. I am living vicarously thru you. I would love to be on the road full-time. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the interesting history and welcome to our blog, glad you enjoy it.
DeleteThe Daytona Good Sams Rally looked like a great time. We've never been to a rally. How did you find out about it and how much does it cost to attend a rally?
ReplyDeleteWe have a great time time there.
