Love comments on our Blog..

Where are we today ?
Another day of relaxing kinda getting to really like this lifestyle. Well actually did a few things, hopped in the car over to Robertsdale, picked up a few groceries at Winn Dixie asked for the local liquor store, it was just down the road kinda hidden. Every state is different, here we have the ABC store. Beer and wine in the grocery stores but need to find a Liquor store for other stuff.
Got that out of the way back home a bite to eat for lunch then time for laundry. Suzie sorts and I walk it over to the Laundromat in the resort. Two large loads done, washed and dried about 90  minutes for 5 bucks can't beat that. Especially when I can sit there and enjoy my book (in the shade) while its happening. Perfect timing, Suzie walked over to help fold and carry it back home, what and awesome woman!
Team work and we are done, get to read some more in the shade, chat with a new neighbor from Michigan (fulltime rv'er too, 9 years). Shared stories and exchanged tips always nice to learn new things about the areas.
Now one of the neat things about blogging is the comments. People from all over find our Blog and make comments, some people we have met and some not. Originally I began the Blog for family and friends to follow and as a journal for ourselves. We have been too many places to remember them all so this really helps the memory banks a lot.
Today I got a comment from Anonymous, really thought it was awesome and need to share it with you. I don't think Anonymous will mind, because whoever they are they are Anonymous.
Check out this quote below, kinda makes me feel good.
"I was reading your last post before this one and you had been to Lamberts to eat. I am from Sikston, MO where Lamberts originated. more than 50 years ago they were in an old building and it was crammed with old metal dinnette sets. Before fire codes I guess. When people were all seated you could not walk in there, so they started throwing the rolls at you. We ate there alot when I was growing up. Still do when I get up that way. Great food, great atmosphere. I am new to you blog. I am living vicariously thru you. I would love to be on the road full-time. Safe travels.
Ok enough of that, but thought it was a nice bit of trivia, now time for supper so I fired our Weber to grill a mess of skewered shrimp marinated in fresh garlic, butter and olive oil, whipped up a rice pilaf, couple potatoe buns and we are so satisfied with a great meal (Suzie said that not me).
on the grill
on the plate, quick and easy
Now another day flew by and we are on the road in the morning!
Thanks for dropping by, hope you had a great day too.

  1. Blogging is a diary too. You can always know were you were at and what you did just by checking your own blog.

  6. Unexpected comments are often the best ones. It's why I refuse to turn off 'anonymous' comments - the good mostly outweighs the bad.
