Wed. July 13th A relaxing day...

Join us as we travel North America in our
Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August 2006

A great nights sleep, warm, windows open and fresh air, yes its nice. Morning coffees, computing and walkabouts, checking out the resort and enjoying the sunshine. A bit later a trip into Buckhorn, just because, I love the magic of the small towns, scenery and friendly people.

Back home puttering around a bit, chat with a few neighbours then we can relax in the shade, then the sun, then the shade, then the sun with our books for a relaxing afternoon. To hot in the sun and too cool in the shade.

Coming in the entrance to the resort there is gentleman there carving some tree stumps into bear images, so I stopped and took a few pictures of his creative carvings.

Eventually it was time to fire up the BBQ to grill some delicious pork chops, potatoes and onions in foil and corn on the cob for a tasty supper.
yummy
Then four of us men got together to adjust the spring tension on a neighbours awning, a little tricky but we got it done with only one minor ouchy, now it rolls up the way its supposed to. While we were wrapping this up a friend Barb walked by with her dogs.  We met her and her husband John at an RV rally in Perry Georgia in 2008 and found they have a place just a few miles from here near Buckhorn, We last saw them in Rockport Texas this past spring. They are spending a week here while their cottage in being renovated.

They were setting up and relaxing so we will get together later on. Walking back home we joined our neighbours Gary and Pat and a few others around a nice campfire for a while before calling it a night. Good times.

  1. The hard choices we have to make...sun or shade? The gentleman doing those carvings is very talented, they look great.
