Sun. July 24th Lazy day sunday

Join us as we travel North America in our
Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August 2006

Just another wonderful sunny day. Walkabouts and chatting with various neighbours, putter around and read in the shade for a while. Mid afternoon Ron and Karen began to pack up after taking the dogs out in their boat for a swim, so we went over to give them a hand cleaning up and say goodbye.
Sammy is all wore out and ready to go

trying to get Bear in the van

Sammy never came out of the back seat, he is quite content after his swim, but Bear he does not want to go home. It's not easy to get that huge dog to go somewhere he does not want to go. Finally he did get in and they hit the road.

We went back to reading our books and magazines and a few people stopped by to chat then Emile and Monique came over for happy hour, they are unwinding after their daughter and grand daughter have gone home too. Now after happy hour we fired up our barbie to grill some small potatoes, zucchini and so tender, tasty loin lamb chops with a tossed salad for a delicious supper.
Then after supper relax outside with our books for a while before calling it a night. Lovin this summer weather.

  1. Just another day in paradise. Did you put the zucchini directly on the grill...any oil or ??

  2. Contessa:
Yes Zucchini and potatoes directly on the grill , just tossed them in a bit of olive oil and La Grill no salt vegetable spices, tasty!

  3. So nice to meet you. As we get going on this full time lifestyle it is nice to know that those who have gone before us are so willing to share their knowledge. Thanks for all the input! Hope to see you again down the road.

  4. Sammy sure looked happy on his seat. Don't think he was going to want to share it with Bear.

  5. Once again another great love the dogs...

  6. Kevin and Ruth:
Both dogs had their own space back there, they need the van just for the dogs.

    Rick and Elaine:
Such beautiful friendly dogs, nice to visit, but really too big for us in our coach.

  7. Daryl:
Was nice meeting you as well, enjoy your new lifestyle and meeting so many new people on the road.

We love it when you take the time to drop us a line.
