Mon, July 4th, More rolled Ribs...

Join us as we travel North America in our
Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August 2006

Happy 4th of July to all our American Readers

Well its now monday morning and after a fantastic summer weekend, in Plattsville with our hosts John and Lea, its time to move on, they off to work, (our job is to keep on moving) we head east along the HWY 401, for a couple of hours to visit with my much younger brother (18 yrs younger) and his wife Sheri, he's off work Mon. and Tue.
today's lourney

We had stopped for fuel in Milton as we usually do and as Suzie was walking thru the parking lot a car stops the drivers talking to her, it's our son-in-law Brian. He had just stopped for a coffee after driving his sister to Sarnia and was returning home for a round of golf on his day off, small world.

We made it thru Toronto then north thru Whitby to my brothers place in Brooklin.
Whitby
A beautiful day for a visit with perfect weather, but first we need to get the work out of the way.
Sheri and I in the Kitchen
The plan today was to make some mini pecan tarts and rolled ribs for supper. I have been getting requests for them so I make them again (3rd time for the ribs, in a week, 1st time for the tarts). They read the blog everyday and requested that I make this the next time we visit, so this is the time.
making tart shells
filling the tarts
While the tarts are in the oven, we made a stuffing for the ribs, then rolled them up and Sheri tied then with string.
 stuffing the ribs
tie them up with a nice bow
Ok now that the fun work is done we can put the ribs and taters on the barbie relax in the shade on their deck and catch up.

Sheri and Suzie
At the right time the ribs, sauerkraut and potatoes are done so we sat and enjoyed it all with a nice tossed salad, then tasty strawberries and fresh baked mini pecan tarts for desert.
more ribs
relaxing by the fire
Then back outside on their deck with nice campfire to keep the chills off, and before we know it another great summer day came to and end, where does the time go?

Ok we have had our fill of rolled ribs for a while, I'm gonna have to cook something else for a change.

Not really, just a few friends, relatives and rv acquaintances and we just love moving about, we have quite a few more to see for the rest of the summer.
