Sat. July 23rd Christmas in July

Join us as we travel North America in our
Holiday Rambler Vacationer, since August 2006

Nothing cools most people down like thinking about Christmas in July, so today starts off with breakfast with Santa in the clubhouse. First Mark had to go round him up with his convertible golf cart.  For us thou we have been having Christmas in December since 2006 in a warm climate very similar to today.

Then back to the clubhouse where adults and children are lined up for a pancake breakfast with Santa. The children got to talk to him and they all received a special christmas gift.
Hi Santa

Afterwards, outside Santa stopped to wish more adults Merry Christmas before heading back to the North Pole.

After all the morning excitement we puttered around and chatted with more neighbors, read in the shade for a while and even went into the pool again for a refreshing dip, another hot summer day. Then around 4 pm over to Ron and Karen's to begin Happy hours and help them get ready for supper. Karen had BBQ ribs and potatoes cooking, I made a tossed salad, Suzie husked some fresh first crop Ontario corn, then Ron and I assembled their new propane cooker, for cooking the corn.

A little while later the rest of the group arrived and everyone got acquainted, just chatting and having a great time.
a nice Happy/Social Hour.

Soon the food is ready and the ribs smell wonderful. We had a tasty feast, lotsa fall off the bone ribs, corn, potatoes, salad, fresh bread then tarts and brownies for desert, so good.
lots of food

Then with full tummies, we got the campfire going and rounded off another perfect summer day telling stories around the campfire with some old and new friends.
