A drizzly day, an Oops lawn mowed then visiting family later.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
After a busy day we packed it in by 9 pm. Down the road looking for a sunset, but not tonight too overcast and cloudy.
Slept in until 6 am about 54F outside so not too bad at all. Better than yesterday. About 7:30 was going to take a walkabout but the rain started , a light drizzle.
So I hopped in the car to New Hamburg to get some gas for the mower, hoping to finish the last of the mowing here today , but rain was forecast. until 9am then from noon on all day. So  back home topped up the gas in the mower pulled it out of the shed. and scrapped off all the heavy grass build up.  For about 5 minutes. Fired the mower up again and it died! Would not start, hmmmm. ran the battery dead boasted it with the car still no start. Ok I got John, he came back we check things out, Maybe gas filter plugged , so he went and got a new one, still no gas. Checking around we found a shut off valve under the gas tank.Guess I had shut it off when I cleaned the mower. only a small space and grass all built up there,  OOPPSS ! Easy fix now it is 11;30. starting to drizzle only lightly though.  Rain hat on, shorts and hoody 90 minutes later was all do thank goodness was a light rain. Done by 1 pm.
Went to check for the pictures I took today and only found this one below, wow that is rare. but was busy trying to get things taken car of. I will take some later this evening for tomorrows posting.
this was the only picture I took today
Now to relax under our awning  reading for a while enjoying the cool rain around us. This only lasted a for while, toady the mosquitoes decided they like this damp rain weather. So inside we go read inside don't want to give these e skeeters anymore blood
Then at 4 Pm going to visit with daughter #2 and the Grands only 10 minutes away. for a BBQ.
Will be nice to see them again as they have been very busy as usual.
So no idea when we will get back home I will post this now, and update on tomorrow's posting.
Thanks for dropping by and hope you had a wonderful day as well.

  1. Those dang pesky shut off valves! Lawn looks great, even tho you had to cut it during the drizzle.

  3. That's something I would do. Had that trouble once with my motorcycle. Forgot to turn the gas on. It took me 30 minutes to figure it out!! Your mowing skills are excellent!!!

I turned it off by mistake not knowing it was there, Glad we got it figured out though, and finished mowing.

  4. Fresh cut lawn always looks great, no matter where it is. And the smell is nice too.
You've learned something anyway and will check that valve first each time. haha
We didn't get the drizzle here but looks like a bit came before we got up today.

  6. Well, I learned something new today...there is a shut-off valve on those big nice mowers.

You have mowed that lawn more times than Pollito has mowed ours.

    1. Yes we learned that as well.
Mowing the lawn when we are is makes it look nice and that pays our ent rather than $50,00 a night or more in a campground
