After a fun day yesterday enjoying the heat, cooling off in the pool and late night watching the live band here had a great night's sleep. And because of that I slept late until 6 am. But up and at it enjoying a nice walkabout before the heat makes me slow down and relax in the shade.
Again chat with a few people here and there.

this be the day for Canada's Anniversary |
A few more walkabouts chat with some people checked our tire pressures and a light tasty lunch. Then a quick trip to Strathroy for a few supplies, and back home to read in the shade for a while.
Chatted with Justin for a bit in a cabin right behind us. We have not seen him for a while then, Walt and Barb stopped by for a quick visit. And of course Suzie got a doggie fix with Maya . Always nice to see them again . Walt installed the flooring in our coach last summer and did an amazing job !

Maya says hi to Suzie |
Still hot and humid here 96F with the humidex only 108F (42C) down from 115F yesterday. Still hot enough for Suzie to suggest a dip in the pool again! Wow ! Now this is wonderful. The outside pool is very refreshing and cools us down quite nicely . Bill and Eli joined us for a few minutes just as we were getting ready to leave. Nice to see them out and about so many times over the years , Bill and us have some wonderful memories.

Eli and Bill in the pool |
After our swim, over to Paul and Judy's for Happy hour, nice to see everyone once again before we head on out. Been here for 2 weeks, more than long enough for us in one place. We will pack up in the morning and relocate to another favourite place we really enjoy.
|
12 of us here for Happy Hour, too much conversation going on for me to hear so I headed home to pack up a few things and prep supper |
A few things packed up preheat our Weber Q and grilled a couple of these Shrimp Burgers that we love for a nice light meal tonight.
|
these are excellent |
About 7 minutes a side on our Weber Q and Enlish muffins in foil we like for buns.
|

Where have we been this summer?
Happy Canada Day! I've eaten a lot of shrimp tacos, but can't say I've ever had a shrimp burger - not even sure if I've seen a shrimp patty :) With the hot humid weather do you find the bugs are out more than normal?
ReplyDeleteLove shrimp Tacos as well, but I came across these here last year and we really enjoy them.
DeleteWe are real lucky right here, next to no bugs at all, compared to other places that we have been, another reason we enjoy it here.
Love shrimp burgers. Happy Canada Day to you and your readers.
ReplyDeleteAs I said in my post today I am happy to be a Canadian.

DeleteIt was a great day George . And very warm and humid . I am trying to stay out in that kind of weather more, to get more used of it . It was for sure lots of conversation going on during happy hour . Always nice to see everybody enjoying themselves . The shrimp burgers look very interesting need to try them .
ReplyDeleteIt sure was great day, and always lotsa fun. Getting used to the heat as I have done over the years works for me. The shrimp burgers are wonderful we love them. Nice to see you guys again and see you in a few weeks.
DeleteOh CANADA!!! Happy Canada Day! Do you have lots of fireworks like down here? Really, I could do without all the racket in my neighborhood!! Shrimp burgers ... never heard of them. Canada has some interesting frozen foods.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy there is fireworks in various areas but none in the campground. We could hear some at the Golf Course behind us but in the distance. Not bad here at all.
DeleteWe have only seen the Shrimp burgers here and are a nice treat. Various foods in different countries as we have found out over the years.
Happy Canada Day. Wow 96F - I always thought Canada was the place to go to beat the heat - guess one has to go to Yellowknife.
ReplyDeleteYes Larry here in southern Ontario we can get some pretty hot weather in the summer, many days over 90F but very humid.
DeleteWe can head a few hundred miles north and it will be cooler , but lotsa bush and bugs.
