25 years ago we tied the knot and never looked back, what a journey we have had so far!

         What a great sleep once again and woke up at 5:30 am to the outside temperature of 68 F, Love It!
         And to the realization that it was just 25 years ago today that Suzie and I tied the knot.  Where does the time go ??? Married my best friend and the love of my life. Now here we are living our dream and almost half of our married life living in our Motorhome full-time (12 years) in a comfortable space of about 270 square feet. Pretty well together 24/7, this takes a special partner to do this, so glad we found each other.
         On our Honeymoon 25 years ago we took our first Caribbean cruise together and loved it, Have taken 2 more since then and are planning on another one this fall if we can decide on a date and itinerary that works for us.

     Just after 7 am got a nice walkabout the campground enjoying  this wonderful warm summer weather cooler temps and very little humidity. So peaceful and quiet here right now just the way we love it.
      Just before 9 am took a drive to Kettle Point Reservation to fuel our car $1;20 a litre and pick up a pound of fresh Pickerel from the smoke shop. Love the pickerel we can get here, In the freezer for a later date.

      As we are getting ready to head on out spotted Gerry working again! Staining more of the cabins, and a very nice young helper Kara doing an amazing job as well.

        Then about 11 am headed in to Forest for a feast at Skeeter Barlows to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.. Discovered this place this spring and love the excellent food and awesome service here.

      Not too busy on a Tuesday for lunch and were seated right away. Our waitress Ashley took care of us and did a wonderful job, until it came time for our check, but she was busy , but no problem we were not in a hurry. Not cheap but very large portions, we could have e shared one meal but heck it's our anniversary so let's blow the budget!

           Suzie ordered a Shrimp and Scallop Chardonay Pasta that came with a HUGE salad we shared.

   I ordered a 1/2 half Broasted chicken dinner meal . love their broasted chicken cooked to order and done to perfection.

     Well we really enjoyed this meal a real treat to celebrate our anniversary and so much food, We took enough home for supper tomorrow night. Plus we took a desert to go a Carrot Caramel Cheesecake for a late night treat, no supper needed tonight that's for sure.

       Back home to relax in the shade for a bit and a couple of walkabouts then enjoy our page turners for a while on a very comfortable summer day in the shade.        Soon time for Happy Hour so I made a pitcher of beer Margaritas, for the recipe click HERE or my recipe blog top right side bar.

      A few friends dropped by at out usual Happy hour, 3pm is a good time if you are around drop by.

     Now that sure was a fun quite enjoyable anniversary day shared with friends right here in the campground, Plus all of the congratulations that we had on Facebook today as well. Does it get much better than this ? Enjoying the lifestyle we love and celebrating with friends along the way in our travels.
      Finish this posting outside, enjoy the quiet evening, read our page turners a bit more then head inside to nibble on the desert we brought home instead of supper.
