A nice comfortable nights sleep, windows open and the fantastic fan running brings a nice cool breeze across our bed.My usual up early about 4 am getting things done, coffees, computing etc... And a nice walkabout around town at 6:30 am, amazing how many people are out at that time of, day enjoying the fresh cool morning air.
wonderful sunrise here shortly after 5 am |
love walking down river road here through the bush and the river just down the other way. |
After here around the corner to the Lab to feed the Vampires with copious amounts of blood. Not sure why so much , maybe they hungry I know some will go to the lab for tests. Picked up 5 gallons of gas for the mower so I could get some mowing done today .
Had an early lunch and hopped on the mower about 11:30 before it gets too hot . 90 minutes later I called it quits for the day. Don't want to do too much in the hot weather, even though cooler than it has been. only 90F and the humidex 98F.
the weeds are growing well |
such a beautiful day cloudless blue skies |
so refreshing at 84F |
Then joined Suzie under our awning reading with our sunscreen up and a very nice light breeze, this was wonderful. Love reading outside in the shade on a hot summer day with a light breeze, nothing much better than that for us.
our sunscreen keeps the morning sun away and lets the breeze come through |
nice Tiger Lily's in the garden |
crispy on the outside tender a juicy inside we will get a lot of mileage out of this |
added to our salad sure was wonderful and of course lots of leftovers for lunches and soup |
Still quite warm but that is just fine, a bit less humid and a slight breeze, makes for a wonderful productive summer day.
Thanks for joining us today.
In closing I would like to wish all our American friends a Happy Independence day for the 4th of July tomorrow.

Where have we been this summer?
Thanks for thinking of us folks south of the border - July 4th 1776 the Declaration of Independence was signed. And congrats on your big winnings! That's a dollar more than you had ...
ReplyDeleteYour welcome Jeff When we open 6 months every year south of the border sure is easy to think of you guys down there. Enjoy the day.
Deletegoing to go find your roasted whole chicken recipe, hopefully it is in there. Looks rather yummy. As does the pool, although that won't be as easy to find.
ReplyDeleteLove our chicken done like this on the Weber Q the link is here https://georgesweberq100.blogspot.com/search/label/Chicken%20%20on%20the%20Weber%20Q
DeleteThe pool is wonderful just need to be in the right place.
Nice day you had once again. Love the pool and the lawn already looks better. Chicken looks delicious! Thanks for the remembrance of July 4th! Gonna be hot here and no pool :(
ReplyDeleteYou welcome guys enjoy the day! The pool is great in this heat.
DeleteIt was a wonderful day, mowing the lawn enjoying the heat and the pool.
I'm surprised how many people are out and about when I walk at 5:30 ... it must be the urge to get out before it gets to hot.
ReplyDeleteThat is the best time of day to get out and about, beat the heat.
DeleteYikes ... your chickens must be blue bloods!! 99 cents a pound here when on sale. Thanks for the 4th wishes! Time to celebrate with your BBQ'd chicken recipe!!
ReplyDeleteYes chicken here is expensive and we love it. Moderation here in Canada.
DeleteNothing quite like BBQ'd chicken on the Weber Q.
Another perfect day at camp awesome!
ReplyDeleteYes Peter it sure was !
DeleteGlad you are able to use the genny to keep the heat down. Just got back from town and fuel is up to 149.9 litre.
ReplyDeleteNice that we have the genny when we need it and again tonight we fired it up. Not liking these high fuel prices , but it it what it island we make due.
DeleteI just paid 77 cents a pound for drumsticks and thighs.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we can good deals here on those here too, not like that, but this wanted a whole chicken.
DeleteSounds like another great day with good weather and a dip in the pool to cool off. Your meals always look really good and appetizing.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very good day no complaints here at all.The pool is a bonus after this hard worked here.
DeleteCongrats on the new hearing aides. Now you can hear all those little noises you RV makes while going down the road making you paranoid. I hear very well, so I just keep the radio up high so I don't hear those noises... :cD
ReplyDeleteThanks guys they sure are nice, can almost hear Suzie again ,lol..We keep the radio up high as well so that we can boogey on down the road.
