Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
At 5 am this morning it was 29 F (-1c) outside but like usual we toasty warm and with the sunrise soon it will begin to warm up very nicely.Headed out for a nice morning walkabout just after 7 am down by the lake here in the campground, looking for a nice sunrise and found one.
a mess of pelicans gathered here and another one in front of the sunrise ready to land. |
7 loafs made 6 wrapped up and in our freezer |
After lunch I cleaned and repainted the windshield wiper arms on our coach. Another thing that bugged me, the paint was coming off and beginning to rust. So a quick coat of rust proof paint makes them, look like new again and protects them
looking like new again |
Chatted with some new neighbours that pulled in beside us. Local people that have been travelling to a lot of places that we go , Ken and Shirley.
Now with Halloween almost here what did we have? A black cat walk right by our site, is that an omen or what?
hmm.... |
about an hour for the hen. and done to perfection |
this sure did the trick tonight enjoying our chicken as usual |
another wonderful sunset |
Thanks for stopping in and hope your day was wonderful as well.

I love the picture of the lake and the pelicans!! Nice!! You all do such a great job keeping your coach looking nice!! Those windshield wipers look great along with those new clear windows!!
ReplyDeleteYou have me wanting some blueberry muffins...sure looks good!!
Thanks, the lake view is beautiful. I like to keep out house looking nice always makes me feel good, And we do have time.
DeleteThese muffins are excellent and so easy.
I am following the blog as you make your way to the Southwest.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting and informative, especially the window fix you just had.
The blueberry muffin breads look so good. Do you have a pizza stone or something similar on the bottom of your propane oven?
It seems that everything you bake in there comes out perfectly, with no problems of temperature.
Do you set the oven temperature the same as you would if you were in a sticks and bricks home?
I am always hesitant to use my oven because I think the temperature would be not accurate.
Thanks George, you always give good advice.
Karen
I have always used our oven in this coach and our other one, On the bottom I have some tin foil covering the bottom above the burner leaving a couple of inches on each side to that the heat goes around and not directly straight up. Also when baking I put the rack up higher, works really well. and I use the same setting as a regular oven. I don't know if it is accurate, but just check when I think things will be ready, works for me.
DeleteYou are enjoying new friends and great weather too! how did we ever get so lucky?
ReplyDeleteReally nothing quite like this amazing lifestyle we live, that's for sure.
DeleteWindshield wipers look brand new! You do take great care of your home! Love those blueberry loaves, nice for a sweet treat! have a wonderful day, as I know you will!!

DeleteThe loaves were excellent, nice treat. Every day we wake up is wonderful as far as we are concerned.
Hi George & Suzie we are crossing over to California today from Oregon will see you guys this winter.
ReplyDeleteHigh guys, looking forward to seeing you again, we will be in New Mexico on Thursday.
DeleteTravel safe.
Krusteaz sure makes some fine (and tasty) products. I'm a big fan of them. :c)
ReplyDeleteWe love them as well, too bad we cannot buy in Canada, we will stock up before we head home.
DeleteI don't think those covers would help in a tornado.
ReplyDeleteI have heard that they help somewhat, but also help with the sun and heat in the summer.
DeleteAnother perfect day in paradise!
ReplyDeleteYes Peter it sure was.
