Where are we today ?

It was cold night last night, only 35 f (1.6c) a 6 am . But we got up nice and early, fired up our Mr. Heater and were toasty warm in short order.

This morning as we are getting ready to head on out, had a nice sunrise right here in the Flying J Parking lot.

Hopped on the road at 7:50 am making our way down the road. We actually had sunshine, no wind and no rain a very good travel day. We actually went much farther than we had planned.

We know we are getting into the south when we see the cotton fields again.

After Missouri we crossing into Arkansas where we will be for a while.
Stopped at this wonderful visitor centre for Arkansas, to check it out and such an amazing one to is. Done up so beautiful and they even have free coffee here as well.

Now back on the road again and way ahead of schedule. So carried right on to the Searcy Arkansas where we have an appointment for 9 am tomorrow to get some of our foggy windows repaired. Suzie gave them a call and yes we can come in today .
Arrived here at 3:30 pm and they set us up on a full hookup site, 50 amps, water and sewer. They have 8 of these here for people getting work done. So very accommodating and extremely friendly they are.
We have at least 3 frames that we would like done and they can do them,Only $200. a frame we may get a few more done if they have time.

Now we are set up here, with full hookups and a few other coaches as well for the same repairs.
We have a nice spot here and now is 74f with clear blue skies and no rain.

About 5 pm I whipped up a salad and reheated out chicken pot pie from the other night. For an easy very tasty meal.

Not sure how long we will be here , no problem we may get more windows done if they have time. No rush for us at all. and the weather no problem and especially with free full hook ups.

You had some really good cloud pics on your journey today. Nice you have full hook-ups and free spot as you wait, and enjoying sitting out and reading...doesn't get much better, so y'all enjoy!

Let us know how their work is, we are stopping there in November to get the drivers window done. Looks like a good place.

We have seen a lot of stuff along that way that interests us. We do take some nice back roads, but do want to get to Arizona sooner than later.
DeleteThe picture of the rest area brings back memories, we loved that one. They sure made you want to sit a spell in those rockers. Love the cotton fields too. We know that highway well..Nice that you have the full hook ups there while you get worked on. Backroads are always much nicer than the interstates, too many trucks! Enjoy your stay and getting windows done.
