Today's Journey
one hour 25 minutes a nice easy drive |
From there I whipped into Stratford to the Bulk Barn for some supplies we use. And a stop at Canadian Tire for gas and a new wiper blade for the car, Use our points for the wiper blade so free! Like free.
got some sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and a dehydrated vegetable mix I like to add to my soups |
We can't cross the border until next Thursday and it is not cost effective to drive a long distance for a free membership campground for 3 days. We do what we have to do and will enjoy this area that we have not been to for quite a few years.
some foggy back road through Plattsville |
20 minutes later the fog is gone |
Checked in at 2:45 pm and all set up before 3:30. Not great for sitting outside with the overcast skies, but we did get to enjoy reading inside for a while.
Soon time to whip up supper. Tonight a Turkey Stroganoff with the leftover turkey and gravy from our Thanksgiving weekend. For the recipe you can click HERE or my recipe blog top right sidebar.
this sure hit the spot and used up some leftovers |
Thanks again for stopping on by and hope you had a great day as well.

Where have we been this summer ?
We love 50 Point. As you mentioned it is somewhat pricey, but a really great spot. The sites are so big.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really great spot, we have been here before and have always enjoyed it,
DeleteThat is expensive for a week but you're making memories and it's well worth it when the grandkids are happy to have you there.
ReplyDeleteThat is so true, these grands only grow up once and we are making wonderful memories.
DeleteSometimes you have to do what you have to do. I am sure getting to watch your grandchildren play hockey and spending time with family and friends makes it worth it.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is starting to turn colder here, also. Now we are just hoping it doesn't get to cold before November. At least there is no snow in the forecast yet...:) Enjoy your time there.
We sure will enjoying this grandson play hockey as we have only seen him play once before a couple of year ago in Niagara Falls. We can only hope for a late snow fall.
DeleteIt might be an expensive week, but it'll be a rewarding one. Trust you saved some money with the mooch-docking you've enjoyed. Looking forward to the hockey games!
ReplyDeleteYes it will be rewarding, and well worth it. We are looking forward to the hockey.
DeleteOur membership camping yearly fee is only $700.00 were we can camp 2 weeks free and one week out,at about 60 packs i the system.
Some more fun this weekend, nice to enjoy the grandkids playing hockey.
ReplyDeleteYes it will be a fun weekend, more time with family when we can.
DeleteBusy morning getting things done. Looks like a beautiful campground even though it's expensive. Enjoy those grandkids, will look forward to the pictures! Dinner looked awesome once again.
ReplyDeleteThank we wrapped up the last our things there. This is a beautiful campground and always very busy too.
DeleteHmmm, nutmeg in it. That sounds good.
ReplyDeleteIt is all good and works for us.
DeleteBy the end of this week you will be ready to start your winter adventure. Sometimes it's nice to just sit inside and enjoy your RV and then go spend time with your family. Enjoy your last week in Canada.
ReplyDeleteWe did that and now out and about, the family time is always fun. We are ready to head across the boarder very soon.
DeleteSounds like a fun-filled weekend ahead.
ReplyDeleteYes it sure will be, thanks guys.
